Macramè: A Step-by-Step Guide to Making Creative Knotted Crafts and Patterns Paperback – November 1, 2020

As a macrame novice I needed a step by step.guide in order to learn how to do it. I liked that the book opened by looking at the essential.equipment and materials to begin crafting. I found that list a great way to prepare. Then we move into the projects, and I liked that most of them were short projects that were not super complicated. There was one to make fringe for pillows or macrame feathers. I liked that these could be done all in a day and you could feel a sense of accomplishment. Overall, I would recommend this book.

I purchased this book solely for the pattern of the bag on the front cover. This bag is not even featured in the book. The reader will need some basic knowledge of macrame. All the instructions are written out, no photos to go along with the instructions. If you are a visual learner this is NOT the book for you.

The book cover says "a step by step guide to making creative knotted crafts and patterns." This led me to believe that I would see how to make the knots, as in seeing a photo of the cord and knotting processes. Well, Violet Baker failed to provide any photos of knotted cords. Even her descriptions failed to make sense most of the time. What a disappointment!!!!

Really like how helpful this book is in helping you understand and utilize the basics of Macramé. Fun, simple projects that are easy to follow are given.

I bought this as a Christmas gift so I can't speak for the content personally, but the recipient enjoyed it and already started using some of the ideas in the book

I was very disappointed, I thought it would be a larger and clearer pictures. Maybe some with more experience would have a better read. It was a waste of money for me!

This book would not be suggested for beginners. There are no pictures of the knots while making the patterns. Difficult for a beginner.
