Absolutely love these! Whether your family is large or small these are a fabulous way to reduce food waste. Have a recipe that calls for 2 tablespoons of tomato paste? These are great to save the unused half can of tomato paste in usable portions and have on hand in the freezer. The larger ones are good for storing measured portions of cooked rice or grain, sautéed veggies, or sauces to freeze and throw in future soups or casseroles. I’ve had mine for a few years and they show no signs of wear. Great gift for young adults just starting out on their own, or anyone just wanting to have a better storage system and eliminating food waste!

I received this product yesterday and have already used it twice! There’s a few recipes I’ve skipped an ingredient on because I don’t want to open the jar and waste the rest of the item because I had no way to store it. For example, one recipe I make calls for 2 tsps of tomato paste, but after opening a jar of tomato paste it only lasts 10 days. Several times I opened the jar used 2 tsps for that recipe and vowed to try to find another dish that called for tomato paste & make that before the 10 day window. Often, I would end up throwing the leftover paste away after 10 days because I didn't make another dish requiring it and didn't freeze it. After doing that several times I just eliminated the tomato paste from the recipe because I couldn’t bare the thought of wasting food. Yesterday, I made my recipe with tomato paste and was able to save the remaining portion of the tomato paste in the Tbsp Souper Cube. The cube has a fill line for 1 Tbsp and 2 Tbsps. Room is even left at the top so the liquid can expand when it freezes. The next day I easily popped the tomato paste out & put it in a ziplock freezer bag and put it back in the freezer. Now I have individual portions for future recipes! The tomato paste didn’t stain the cube, but I only left it in there 1 day. So I can’t comment on whether it will stain if you leave it in there for an extended period of time. That same recipe calls for 1.5 cups of broth. The broth I purchase comes in a 4 cup container. I was able to save the remaining broth in the 1/2 cup Souper cube! The product is not like a typical silicone mold, there is a frame inside that prevents it from collapsing when it’s full & you're trying to carry it to the freezer. I think I will buy a second set to make it easier on myself when batch cooking. If you don’t like wasting food or if you batch cook, these are wonderful! Update: The product does tend to retain smells. I have not figured out how to prevent this other than freezing the food for a few hours then transferring it to a freezer bag. Warning: if you leave something in it over a night or two then it may retain the smell. Even after soaking several hours and washing it in the dishwasher the smell of the bolognese sauce I froze in it lingers. Although I find this rather frustrating I would still buy this product again. Maybe there is a trick it getting the odors out, if so I haven't figured it out yet. If I do, Ill update this post again. Update: I still love this product, but concerned about my food sitting in silicone now.

These trays are labeled with measurements, are easy to fill, easy to stack, come clean in the dishwasher (top shelf), and have made my “freezing game” much easier. I recommend that you make a note of what you froze in which tray. Then, when it is solidly frozen, remove it and store in a labeled freezer bag. I do not use these as storage containers, I use them to freeze and (later) label leftovers and meal prep items. My freezer is much more organized! Meal prepping is easier, and the measurements help me decide how many “servings” I have. These trays are definitely worth the money!

I love these containers for freezing, storing, heating leftovers. We enjoy a lot of soup and if we have leftover fruit or smoothies, these make it easy to freeze for later, so nothing goes to waste.

These are really helpful for stocking the freezer with soups or Chili et cetera, for those times when I'm totally exhausted and just want to have something home-made right right that minute.The smaller sizes are super helpful for freezing leftover tomato paste, pesto, stock et ceteraOne incredibly helpful thing is that because they are silicone, it's really very easy to get the food out, simply by pushing from the other side, because they are malleable. There is something impressive about getting perfectly rectangular crystalline block of home-made soup so easily out of these moulds, and then I can relax knowing I have a good meal on a night when I am too tired to cook.
