Really hard to cock, a little bit of play is required to get it to where it loosens a bit so the pull isn't so rough. No way to safely release once you DO manage to cock. The pulley handle broke when I tried to release it gently, and it bruised the heck out of my hand for a few days. I'm sure it's a grear piece of equipment, but it's not for me.

ot this fairly expensive pistol crossbow, on the 5th shot the string/cable broke making it useless...sent in for a new one, well see what happens.....

I bought this because I need something small, silent and powerful. It really delivers on all three.Pros:Power: I have a 2 crossbow pistol "toys" that boast 120 FPS and 80 lbs draw. They comes up short of the power I need. The Mini Striker is at least 2-3 times more powerful. It will punch a bolt (with field tip) through 1/2" plywood easily.Quality: This appears to be a pistol crossbow built using full size crossbow parts except for the smaller limbs and the rail. It has many special die cast parts specific to crossbows.Crank: The pully system reduces the draw to about 40 lbs. It is easily cocked.Size: This crossbow is smaller than the pistol crossbow because the narrow limb design, but much more powerful.Cons:Price: Basically, you are paying nearly full price for a crossbow that's a lot smaller and not as powerful.Bolt compatibility: The Mini Striker shoots only non-standard bolts. It takes special, small diameter bolts, which isn't mentioned in the product literature. For what you are paying that's really disappointing.Small nits:The forward grip is a waste. It's supposed to be "folding", but it barely folds at all. So you end up with a forward grip on a hinge that doesn't lock, is not steady at all. I removed it and found it didn't make a difference except to make the weapon smaller.The foot stirrup is also a waste. The cocking pully system is so good, the weapon is easily cocked using only two hands. It gets in the way and not useful. I removed it.Assembly was a little sketchy... I had to "fine tune" some holes so the screws fit. For $300+.... that's kind of disappointing.

This Mini-Striker is better than expected! The first pistol grip crossbow I have been able to get down to 1 inch grouping at 20 yards. Regardless of the grain head at 20 yards its hitting on point without adjustment. Can't wait to shoot it at 50 or further to dial it in more! With my scope and the Morris bolts I am confident it will take care of the pest control I need.Not sure why instructions requested to wax strings after 4 plus shots, a little excessive I think but we will put the shots through the crossbow and see how it holds up.

Mini Striker is Awsome light, Handy, Powerful the Bolts come with it are not proper specially Morris ( White) it’s quite thick and it’s Diameter is bigger to fit you can find “4 or 5mm and length between 11 to 13” inches Carbon Fiber Arrows or bolts will be accurate and powerful”255 grains suitable for 80 to 120lb,Yes Dear can be hunt but it’s depends on Arrows / Broadheads and Range / Distance how far your target is better try from Tree Stand
