Earthquake Auger Extension, Red/Black

The extension works well and gives you that extra length that you need so that the auger head doesn't get buried in the ground and you don't have to bend over that much.

I like that it is great quality and easy to install when needed.

Perfect fit for an Earthquake auger I recently got that was made in 2004. Adds a little weight to the auger, but then again it also makes the holes the required depth for the getting below frost line in Michigan. Saves a ton of time vs. digging by hand since you can get 18 inches further down with this + the bolt it comes with. Downfall was the price. Should have been 20$... Not 40$.

Excellent tool. was trying to make one out of black pipe, but would have ended up with an expensive monstrosity. This is just the right length for my one man auger to let me drill 8 inch holes over 40 inches deep. only drilled a dozen holes thus far, but seems it will hold up well.

Augured 4 mega holes with my harbor freight auger and a 14” auger bit. Needed a big deep hole for 6x6x16 post for homemade swing set. Well made easy install!

Works great well made

Worked great on a Harbor Freight 2 stroke Auger (w/Predator motor). Only modification was to purchase a bolt or pin that was slightly smaller in diameter to fit (< $1 or free if you have some laying around that'll fit). Was able to replace fencing and sink the posts down to 3 feet using this extension.

I bought this because I needed to get deeper than my stock harbor freight auger would dig. It is thicker metal than the Harbor Freight auger. The bolt was the wrong size but I knew that before buying through the reviews I read. I am very satisfied and I would highly recommend this auger extension.

The 18 inch extension provides the additional depth required to use the Earth Auger to dig post holes. I had originally ordered the 12 inch extension but there was an issue with delivery/availability, so that order was cancelled and I ordered this 18 inch version instead. Glad I did as we used the full depth of this.

Over $80 for a piece of metal is a huge overkill. Return costs almost $50 !!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Works fine. Attaches with a regular ol' bolt/nut, not a flush bolt like the one that attaches to the motor. Not a biggie, but it was a bit of a letdown to see. Expensive, considering whet it is. But they have us over a barrel about it. Certainly beats not being able to get through the very thiuck ice up here..

We have 4' frost lines here, unit alone would not achieve that without this 18" extension. Would have given 5 stars, but the bolt provided is weak and already requires replacing after about 100 holes dug in sand.
