It looks different than the original but it works!
I ordered this part as it was an OEM part and the original lasted 18 years. So, why not. While I was skeptical about it as the part looks different from the original part, it drops in and works as needed. It clears the fill valve as needed. Bonus, it’s MADE IN THE USA. FYI, you can find your toilet model # inside the tank, embossed in the tank. In my case it was ST706.

Good replacement lever
the lever was easy to replace on our toilet. It seemed a little flimsy and had the same wiggle at the handle as the one we were replacing, but once installed it works like it should. A tad pricey, though

Worked as exspected fixed our broken one.
I mean what can one say... This turned our throne into a magic experience... Nah... But it fixed our broken one and was easy to install. Nothing to complain about.

Perfect Toto replacement
We renovated about 17 years ago, and all our toilets are Toto. For some reason the handle assemblies need replacement, and these are the ones I use and they work perfectly. Super easy to install too.

Great color match for Brushed Nickel fixtures.
I wanted all the fixtures in my new main bathroom to be brushed nickel, and this lever made all the difference in pulling the look together. Note that the design of these levers makes them feel loose even when they are securely attached.

Original part, quick and easy to install.
This is the original part from Toto. It does not come with any instructions but it should be fairly easy to see you remove the old part to be replaced and just put this part in.I would say this took about 5 minutes and worked much better than the part being replaced. I think the plastic nut strips over time but you have to replace the whole mechanism.Anyway, despite the high-ish price for this part, if you had a plumber come do it, they would charge around 5 times as much and mark the price of the part up as well.

If you need this… you know what it’s for
Well made. Might have to transfer your old rod to the new handle, but it’s just one screw. Kinda overkill to match it to your faucets but whatever

Broke after a few weeks. Bad design.
The poorly engineered mechanism failed in a matter of weeks, for basically the same reason the original did after 8 (?) years. The problem is that you are operating a crank at an awkward angle to push down the "wrong" end of a high-ratio lever that lifts the flapper. The tremendous force at this interface deformed the metal parts and broke the plastic housing of the original, but simply deformed the plastic housing of the replacement so that the crank no longer properly engages with the lever. Basically it's jammed and is unfixable, because the plastic is simply too weak too contain the force involved.I agree with the reviewer who criticised the lame plastic nut. You don't dare tighten it enough to make the attachment rigid for fear the plastic will break. It cries out for beefier plastic parts, plus some kind of lock washer.I noticed that neither my original nor this replacement had the left-handed threads the instructions on Toto's web site cautions the installer to be aware of. Is this Toto's third crack at this design? Keep trying, Toto. You're not there yet! Also: at this price, it should have come with a chain, but it didn't, which was a pain, because the geometry was a little different from the original, and it needed more links than the old one had left. I had to borrow some links from a flower pot hanger.I'll be trying a third-party replacement next...

Genuine part at a good price
The trip lever worked perfectly in my Toto. It was a slightly different shape than the broken original, but it still worked.
