Naturally Straight Texturizer Kit, 25.6 Oz (700000)

I've been using this way before the pandemic. Came searching for it because my daughter wants to comb her locs out. I faithfully used this to maintain her hair. So much so, I bought the large bottles of shampoo and conditioner for in between maintenance. Anyone who says this did not work..did not follow the instructions. It's really a simple process and yeas you have to blow dry your hair after you put the product on. Do not let your hair air dry. This is great for managing your or your child's natural hair. Especially if they are tender headed. I'm glad to see it's still available but totally dismayed to see they are selling this for almost $18! This used to be $8!!! I'm going to check my beauty supply store to see if this is the going price now or if someone is taking advantage by unchanging the consumer.

Beware of the seller. They’re selling packs of 8 for $20-$30. When you buy it they’ll only send you 1 box. I complained and they gave me a refund and said I could keep the product. I told them I want the other 7 boxes I purchased. They said they’re out of stock. I thought they’d made a mistake when I bought 8 boxes for $20, but just checked and they are selling 8 for $30 now! Besides that... Great product! I used to use it only once a year and had no problem reverting to my 4a curls. Then one year I used it twice in a roll, meaning I did the treatment again after wearing it straight for 3 weeks. Wore it straight again for 3 more weeks and then when I washed my hair it didn’t revert properly. Got lots of straight ends. Ended up cutting it. Now, I do this treatment 4 times per year and wear my hair straight all the time. The curls won’t revert. My hair is so healthy and beautiful. Use avocado oil to moisturize it.

I like this product for a temporary hair straightener. I appreciate that it is not messy and is not very harsh on the skin though I recommend an oil base for scalp and ears for those with very sensitive skin. This product is easy to use washing hair 2 or 3 tines applying leaving conditioner Leave in for 20mins Blow dryer Flat iron I skipped the flat iron as I just wanted to make my daughter's hair more manageable not bone straight. Blow drying on high heat straightened it enough so I did not need to flat iron. I find it left her hair dry so I used coconut oil and Blow dry again for 2 mins and that solved the dry issue. Any moisturizer that works for you should do the trick. It has a little cheesy odor but it was better that the usual strong chemical odor from other chemicals and once I applied the oils it was almost gone form her hair. by the next wash 1 weeks after I used her curl activator and her hair was nice with the curls dropping a little longer and it was still manageable after another 2 weeks. I hardly use chemical in her hair but this was a great one off purchase once yiu follow instructions. If you have mixed hair or black American/african hair best to flat iron for easy manageability especially if you are looking to wear your hair loose.

I bought and used this product in July of 2016, 7.5 months prior to the time of writing this review. Does the product work? Yes. I have 4C hair. Very coarse. Very tight curls. I never dream of straightening my hair in the height of humid summer because just the sweat from applying heat makes my hair revert before I am done with the process. But, with this product, I was able to achieve a sleek look in the middle of July. And it stayed. For six weeks! I even got caught in the rain and my hair did not revert! My hair did feel dry like other reviewers noted, but no one really touches my hair but me, and it looked really nice and shiny so I was willing to swap a little health for beauty. When I shampooed with a clarifying shampoo to remove the product, I noticed that my hair had suffered some heat damage, mostly on the ends and in front, but it was very minor and nothing to cry about. For the most part, my hair went back to normal. Now, why did I knock stars off this rating? I have had serious dandruff issues for the past seven months since using this product. In the past, I had dandruff issues when I was regularly relaxing my hair. Upon making "the big chop" and caring for my natural hair my dandruff issues seemed to melt away, leaving me with no problem for SEVEN years--not a single flake. I first noticed the dandruff with this product a week or so after using it. I figured it was because my hair was dry and I was not moisturizing regularly because I wanted my hair as straight as possible for several weeks. I figured the dandruff would go away as I got back into my normal regimen. Well, I've been at my normal regimen for many months now and I am sick and tired of this dandruff! I am currently in the process of trying to find a way to fix the problem that this product created. I will not buy this product again. Although this product does what it says it will do, I have had a bad reaction to it. I can't discourage you from buying it, because I don't know if your scalp will react like mine did. I am posting in case someone has had a similar experience, that they can be reassured that they are not the only one. I also want to forewarn those that have had problems with dandruff that this may make it come back or make it worse.

This is amazing! I am fully natural at this point and I have not been able to get my hair this straight in a looong time. Even beauty salons haven't been able to get my hair this straight. I was a bit skeptical, but it works! I also bought a new flat iron that might have also helped too. The last time I flat ironed my hair was the summer, and it is now winter. The past few times I've flat ironed my hair it starts to revert and get poofy literally the same day. Even last winter when I flat ironed it it started to get a little poofy, but not as bad as summer humidity. So my true test of this product will be to use it this summer and see if it can stand up against summer humidity, which i think it will. My hair is perm straight and had soooo much body! So far it has been over two weeks and even tho ir's winter it has rained a couple of times and my hair is still fine. I will update with my results after I go back to my curls (i have very very nappy 4c hair so all u naturals out there who think u can't get straight hair just aren't doing it right, it is possible). Also, before I began the process I deep conditioned my hair (although this might not have done anything since the shampoo strips every single drop of anything from your hair which makes it feel kinda coarse, but not to worry, once you complete the process your straight hair is very soft. almost 3 weeks later and my hair has less body but still very soft) I also added some heat protectant oils to my hair after the conditioner just to be safe (and honestly, i didn't skimp on the oils. I didn't use as much as i normally would when flat ironing but i intended to use just a tiny amount but I kept going back for "just a little more" because I was scared of damage lol. One last thing, I had my flat iron set pretty high. I think that is key, yes I know u don't want heat damage but a low flat iron setting will never get ur hair straight so by using a setting too low ur risking heat damage just to have slightly straight hair, it's pointless. I used the heat guide on the instructions and since my hair is 4c i used the highest recommendation of around 400.

I’ve wanted to go straight for quite some time without having to relax my hair because it dries out my scalp. I purchased after reading all the reviews and let me tell you this product did not disappoint. I followed the instructions and my hair did not dry out after washing, it felt more manageable and soft. After applying the quarter sized leave in throughout my hair and waiting the 20 minutes I blow dried and big toothed combed my hair, now that dried out my hair but to my surprise I did not have much breakage. I used my TYMO hair comb flat iron to straighten my hair and it turned out beautifully. I will absolutely be purchasing more to keep my hair straight longer without having to use heat so often.

This is the product to try if you are anxious to see how long your hair is after months and months of shrinking curls! LOL. I have not used flat irons all year and every time I do, the style has lasted one day because of humidity. I tried this product out after seeing a Youtube video. I will say that the end result was absolutely stunning. I had so much softness and body it was unreal. However, getting through the initial steps were more than an undertaking. The shampoo strips your hair to no moisture whatsoever, which is intended. The leave-in doesn't help at all with adding moisture back and I started to get worried. However I followed the instructions and attempted to blow my hair out after the 20 min. What's unclear is do you leave it in 20 min after you've done all the sections or do you time from the 1st section? It took me at least 20 min just to get it all throughout my hair, again your hair is stripped so trying to detangle is a monster (but doable). I didn't see any breakage or hair loss so I kept going. In fact, I would say less hair came out than usual. I also had not cut my ends in a few months so that didn't help my plight! If your ends aren't freshly cut, you might want to have that done first or blowing it out and flat ironing will be difficult because of the balls on the ends. Once you get through flat ironing (I used the chase method using the penman thermo straightening brush) my hair came out GORGEOUS!!!! SOOOO beautiful, I never knew I had natural hair so beautiful. This product beats getting a relaxer ANY DAY. It was well worth the effort and I learned some lessons along the way so the next time I apply it, it will be easier. I would recommend using your flat iron on the lowest heat setting that will straighten your hair. So that means, don't use 450 heat if your hair will get straight at 375. And, only use heat once!! Afterward, I rolled my hair using flexi-rods and my curls were stunning. You can still do twist outs and flex-rods sets once its dry but don't apply any moisturizers just oil. For a twist out just twist the hair and put a perm rod on the end, no need to add any product! This is not something I plan on consistently using back to back because I worry about causing heat damage. So my plan is to use it 2-3 times a year when I'm wanting to do length checks and show off my gorgeous long locks. I personally went for 3 weeks straight and went back to natural curls and had no damage whatsoever, in fact I feel like my hair improved. I just like my curls better than I do straight hair at this point. But I would definitely use it again for my next length check in a few months!! For the ones that say their hair did not revert, I would say it may be user error or their hair was not in great shape to begin with. There are no chemicals in this product, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't revert unless the temp on the flat iron was too high. That is the primarily risk with using this product is that you have use the flat iron and if your temp setting is too hot, you can damage your hair whether you use this product or not! Again, use lower heat setting starting out to be on the safe side (but not too low). Try it girls!!
