Affordable Audiophile Upgrade
I've been building a nice home theater room as well as a 2-channel listening room for the past couple of years and recently started replacing all of the cheaper/generic interconnects I was using with much better-quality cables. There was a very subtle improvement in sound quality noticeable afterwards, nothing too exciting, but I wasn't expecting a huge difference anyway. Still, there was an incremental improvement, so it was worth it IMO. The last components I ever really considered upgrading were the power strips. It's embarrassing for me to admit now, but up until that point I was using cheap/plastic/generic $10 big box store units that had to be at least over 10 years old. Would I hear a noticeable improvement in sound just by replacing the power strips? Again, I wasn't expecting much, just like when I upgraded the interconnects. But I knew that what I was using was junk anyway, so I decided to try the Furmans and find out for myself. Well then. The improvement in audio quality after swapping in the Furman's was just undeniable, so much so that it gave me an audiophile "wow, I like THAT" sensation immediately. Movies, dialog and music suddenly had more clarity, depth, dynamics, detail and punch. It's like a light veil had been lifted off of the speakers and the sound became more alive and "honest". Are there better power conditioners out there? I have no doubts that there are, but to get this level of improvement in audio quality for only $25, the Furman is an easy 5-stars for me. Some reviewers have mentioned that this isn't a power conditioner; but it says right on the box that it does feature basic level active noise cancellation/reduction. I didn't buy them because I had a noise issue though, I bought this because it was recommended in the audiophile community for those who wanted a quality power conditioner but didn't have the budget for something more expensive. If you are already using a good quality power strip or conditioner, I'm assuming that you would not notice much of a difference, if any. However, if you were like me and was using garbage power strips, you might enjoy what you hear after plugging everything into the Furman's. Only complaint? Like others mentioned, 15ft of cord seems to be a little long considering the size of the conditioner itself. The extra-long length is awesome if you need it, but if you don't want the extra bulk, this is something to consider. That said, I'd much rather have a power cord that is too long than too short any day. I highly recommend this power conditioner, don't let the cord length stop you from buying.

A quality Furman power conditioner
Having a power conditioner is a must have when you are working with multiple audio devices. When using this, the power to your audio gear is evenly distributed with no fluctuations, which helps to reduce hum and helps to protect your gear. Pros: -This strip has a study, metal case which gives it the ability to resist most wear and tear, especially for live stage applications. In addition, you can switch from EMI (short range interference caused by high frequency emissions within the device itself), and RFI (longer wavelength interference from external sources), and general surge protection. It has a 15 foot power cord which virtually eliminates the need for extension cords. This unit's power cable can easily reach across a small to medium sized stage. Cons: -None that I can see If you switch from a a regular power strip to a power conditioner, you will notice a big difference in the quality of your sound and reduction in unwanted hum and frequencies. If you are a musician, a Furman Power Conditioner is a must have.

Dependable and well made.
Wonderful quality equipment, just wish I could still get it for under $30, but that was almost 10 years ago.

The professional’s preferred choice
I’ve always been careful about protecting all my professional audio equipment. After trying several similar products, I’ve found that this is the only one that truly has the proper certifications and the necessary components to eliminate noise from certain power outlets. Also, when there are power surges, I feel confident because this product seems to work very well. The cable quality is impressive, and its size is just right, so you can rest easy. I mainly use it inside my home, where I have my computer, audio interface, and some synthesizers connected. You don’t have to look far to realize that Furman offers 100% professional quality.

Sturdy, consistent and reliable.
I bought another one 8 years later just so I could have two. Initially it was for Synthesizers and/or Guitar Amplifiers but now I'm using also using one for a TV Sound Bar and Computer Speakers.

Great Power Strip
I've bought several of these over the last few years. The power strips are used onstage for live sound use, I like them because of the long power cord. I give these guys a rather rough treatment, they are exposed to humidity, being trampled on by musicians, etc.. One of these stopped working after someone accidentally dropped a drink on it, very bad, luckily I stopped working and no damage was caused to equipment. Another one stopped working after many hours of subwoofer vibrations a few screws sustaining the outlets in place came loose. Someone tried to plug a keyboard in anyway and damaged the strip, which resulted in a few sparks, therefore I suggest checking the tightness on the screws every once in awhile. On this last purchase, I bought two units. One of them worked perfectly, the other wouldn't switch on, the button was broken. I decided to open up strip and was able to fix the problem in less than 2 minutes. Overall the durability of these strips are pretty good, I can't comment on home use, but using them on the road they've lasted me up to 2 years, well worth the investment.

Condition Your Power
I got one of these as a gift, not knowing their stellar reputation or what it was supposed to do. A friend knew about my burgeoning audiophile hobbie and dug this up for me. It doesn't take but a second holding it to see the build quality. I set up rig upstairs with a 2 channel A2L+ Emotiva amp, but it put me over the top in terms of how many cords I wanted going down through the desk. There weren't enough outlets anyways. I ordered one of these Furmans, put it ontop of the desk, and just slid it behind the amp to hide it from view. The cord is certainly long enough. Heavy duty too. If you're doing nothing in terms of power conditioning, pick one up ASAP.
