Currently our knife manufacturing is in South China and our leather sheaths are manufactured in Mexico. Some assembly of the FieldTorq Stag is done in the USA. Our resharpening service is in Neenah, Wisconsin. **Q: How good is it getting them ribs to split?** A: Its not its very hard to use. You are better off using a normal knife. Cut along side the ribs either right or left and its all cartilage. **Q: On the stag the puma is stamped on the blade and recessed in the handle the other photo has neither?** A: FieldTorq Knives collaborated with Puma Knives to produce the FieldTorq Puma Collaboration knife in 2020. This was our first collaboration knife. We currently have 3 knives in our line-up, all made 100% by FieldTorq Knives...the FieldTorq Pakkawood, FieldTorq FRN, and the FieldTorq Stag. **Q: which handle is the least slippery if you get blood on it, nylon or the wood handle?** A: I have personally designed ALL FieldTorq knives to have non-slip handles. Additionally, the curved blades are a synergistic design of effectiveness AND safety--only the inside radius is sharp. Slipping as a safety concern has been engineered out. However, grip is still valid from a stability perspective. The FieldTorq Pakkawood handle is made of resin-infused Pakkawood and is non-slip even when wet. Our FieldTorq FRN has aggressive end-to-end handle checkering for a sure grip. And the FieldTorq Stag is made of gnarly synthetic stag which is also very grippy.
