Size:2.3 Ounce 3/4 cup bag Growing up in the Penzey family, one of our favorite Sunday dinners was Gram's special recipe of veal, pork, potatoes, onions and carrots, all roasted to a golden brown in the same pan, seasoned with her simple, yet delicious blend of herbs and spices. We've also found this seasoning is wonderful for the grill-one of our quick favorites is to rub boneless pork chops or turkey cutlets with a bit of vegetable oil, then sprinkle with 1-2 tsp. Bavarian Seasoning per pound. Also great on turkey breast, rub on 1-2 tsp. per lb. For added zest, sprinkle with lemon juice or salt. Hand-mixed from: crushed brown mustard, rosemary, garlic, thyme, bay leaf and sage.

Old-World Taste Brings Back the Memories
Penzeys has done it again! I grew up in a Midwestern,German family and this spice blend takes me back to home-cooked meals by my grandma. It is easy to use to flavor any meat, but especially pork, veal, and believe it or not, Turkey! I cooked a boneless Turkey breast with only this spice and made a simple gravy to go with it. Everyone LOVED it! The blend brings an old-world charm to any meat dish. Next up, I plan on cooking a Pork Shoulder with this spice and a side of sauerkraut and potatoes. My family will love it!

Homey full flavor/savory goodness
Has always been a spice rack staple. Adding complexity to numerous foods. It’s great on toast & eggs, and elevates other simple foods like chicken as well. For a good savory full bodied flavor profile from subtle low heat from the mustards to the herbs for levity and a note of freshness in warm wintery stews. It’s like homeyness in a jar.Just add white and black pepper, salt and it’s done.

Not my favorite flavors as it turned out. But I am learning how to use the combination of spices.
