Best purchase
I had 16 turkeys to harvest and I selected this as its one of the few kill cones large enough for a turkey tom. So glad I did. This held the birds while I did the deed and just made the process much smoother and easier on me and the birds. If you only buy one item for a bird harvest, make it a kill cone. This is more important than a scalder or plucker.

get XXL for turkeys (40-50lb live weight)
Great cone, but our turkeys were too big for the XL version. The breasts didn't fit in the top, so the head didn't reach the opening. We ended up cutting the narrow end off to shorten the length. Highly recommend spending the money to get the right size up front.

XX-Large not large enough
The opening at the bottom is too small at times for large double breasted bronze turkeys. It served it's purpose for butchering 15 turkeys but could have been a bit easier if these big birds could have sat lower in the cone.
