Tardisk: Exactly what they claim, great product!
Tardisk's product is exactly as they advertise. A great way to add massive amounts of space to your Macbook. I use bootcamp to dual-boot Windows so the extra 256 GB is a life saver on the mac side. I also play a lot of video games and own a lot of video/music content so I used up the 256GB that my macbook came with very quickly. I'm also pretty rough with my Macbook, it comes to work with me in a backpack every day, gets taken all over the city, and then gets put into a wall mount every night so being able to keep Tardisk in and not worry about it snapping off or breaking is a huge relief.

Don't waste your time.
Creates more issues than it's worth!! Have to buy the correct model for your Mac. I didn't!! Had to return it.

Totally Worth It
Yep, this does exactly what it advertises for my MacBook Pro (Early '13) and though I didn't do a speed test beforehand, my seamless hard-drive experience seems slightly faster since I installed this. Sure, it's pricey, but it's one of those rare pricey purchases where the ease of use and access to massive space improvements quickly make you forget how much you paid!

DO NOT BUY! Nightmare experience
If you see any good reviews they are from 2016 this product no longer works on the new operating system. This does not work for Mac at all and it is not Plug N Play. They do not tell you until you buy it but you have to wipe your entire Mac if you are running on High Sierra or later (which is most everyone). Then once installed Since installing it causes it to crash 6-12 times a day, losing work or data vital to my freelance job. They stopped answering my support emails and denied responding to my BBB complaint. The just disappeared and I wasted $400 plus hours and hours of time and I was stuck with this thing in my computer that was crashing it constantly and losing my freelance work which is how I support myself. This has been a nightmare situation.I got Apple Care to help me get it out and it broke my HD so I had to take it in to get it fixed.Anyone have any suggestions on how to be compensated for my money this company has become a total scam.Worst experience I have ever had with any company. They must be going out of business or else they are criminal. It's criminal either way that they still sell this. Please DO NOT BUY.

Ingenious Product
Overall I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend. It's as seamless as advertised.Make sure you understand what is required of your disk partitioning before purchase, you may have to reformat. But if faced with an issue like mine, these things can almost always be fixed.I ran into an issue with my partition table, after removing BootCamp a long time ago, my partition table got messed up. I was unaware of the issue until the TarDisk installation. Tech support (Luiz Carlos) was very responsive and helpful he looked at some screen shots and some terminal command's outout, the end result was him saying I had to reformat. I knew the risk from the start, but it really didn't sink in until that looked like the only choice. So I took my time and tried numerous tools and eventually found one that would boot from USB fix the partition table and the MBR. (I'm not sure if the MBR had anything to do with it.)In the end, great product, worth the price, hopefully you won't face what I did, there is always a fix somewhere though.

Who says you can't upgrade your MacBook Pro's internal storage. The TarDisk 256GB storage expansion card makes it easy by activating the fusion drive software built into OS X and using it to optimize storage between the internal SSD and the tardiest in the SD slot. A little pricy at $399, but a great solution.

HORRIBLE customer support for product that doesn’t work
First and foremost, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I received it and was very impressed with the packaging and precision of craftsmanship. I’m a pretty tech-savvy guy, so I followed the instructions to the letter and it failed to peer. After several more attempts, I had to reach out to tech support. Long story, short; they had to remotely install it and finally it worked...until my computer started locking up everyday. No additional support and then I tried upgrading to Mojave-it bricked my computer. Eventually, I got desperate and removed the TarDisk and was able to successfully install Mojave. Now, I’m back to square one with a $400 chip and out of disk space.
