Everything about the strop is great but I gave it 4 stars because the way they pack it. There is a bump in the leather that will straighten out I have it now for awhile I put a towel over it with a steel flat weight on top of it but still the hump is not flatting out.

If you want a legitimate strop, and not some knock-off piece of junk, spend a little more and get this one. Absolutely the best strop I have ever owned. Excellent grade of leather...a sufficient area for the working surface (not skinny or short), takes conditioner and subsequent rouge very well. I haven't used the cloth one yet, but this guy will most likely last me my entire lifetime....and I'll probably hand it down to my stepson one day.

I can't believe the quality of this. The rivets the fixtures the leather. It's all tip top and if you have any doubts take it from a heavy knife enthusiast that this is the best American strap you can buy, and it's even better than handmade Pennsylvania Dutch ones.

I like the construction of this strop. The hardware is chrome the leather and Cotton fabric are from quality material. This is what I expected.

This came coiled in a box. I hang it up to straighten it out. Nice soft, supple, flat, brown leather. No brand name or logo stamped on the leather surface. This is the main reason why I picked this one. Useful stropping leather surface is 17.125 x 3.125 inches. Stropped my old Dovo razor on it with less then 20 laps each side. My skin can feel the razor sharpness from the shaving edge feedback. It works and I like the result.I haven't used the woven polypropylene side yet, so no comment on that.I guess the seller is from another country where English is not their first language. Would you offer lifetime warranty on a piece of leather which is used for stropping blade edges?

Finally a strop that actually works! I am impressed. perfect width and length. Real canvass. perfect leather. If you shave with a straight razor, just buy this and don't settle for anything less.

I was surprised by just how nice this strop is. The leather is already supple & thick. The color is uniform & a nice dark & rich reddish brown. Also has a nice attached cotton strop.
