Organic Diced Canned Tomatoes, 28 oz.

A new staple to my kitchen. Sometimes I find soups to be too blah and other than seasonings nothing gives them an edge in a good way. I like a little acidic taste to add to flavor. I have tried these diced canned tomatoes to several soups including homemade and better canned soups as well. The addition of the tomatoes gave me that well rounded flavor that I was looking for in a soup. They are already cut and in their own juice. One large can of these lasted me through 4 batches of soup. I do not want to add too often or it can make soups or dishes too predictable in flavor but it did make me want more soups this winter without becoming boring or lackluster. They ate good value for amount and cost. Plan to try in some homemade pasta recipes next.

This is always a terrific product. It is one of three products that I will buy from an organic producer. I usually buy from my local Sprouts store when they run a sale in three or four case batches at a time, both whole and diced. I hate asking for help at checkout but after three shoulder surgeries and dancing with the auto-immune witches for way too long, lifting case goods at the store is no longer a point of pride! Prime Pantry on this item was a real gift. I can get it delivered and there are occasional sales I can watch for. Win win. Although I am not sure how my sweet Delivery driver feels about this last order of 16/28 ounce cans all in one box, I cut it open at the door and walked it to the food pantry 3 cans at a time.

These tomatoes enhance many dishes like omelets, salads, sandwiches, ground beef, spinach, garlic and pasta dishes. Delectable!!!!!

This is a great product. The tomatoes are of good quality and Muir Glen doesn't use BPA, so no worries about toxic chemicals. I've ordered these before from Amazon with no issues, but this time they arrived late and in bad condition. All of the cans were bashed in on the sides, making it difficult to open. Managed to open a can enough to push the lid up and get the tomatoes out, but there's no way I could completely remove the lid. Hopefully this was an anomaly, as Amazon's price is good and I plan to continue ordering this product from them.

These are a pantry staple for any soup lover—they add rich, fresh flavor to everything from chili to pasta sauce! The quality is top-notch, and I love that they’re organic. But, here’s the catch: if you’re not a fan of chunky tomatoes, these might not be your best bet. The pieces are on the larger side, which my picky husband can’t stand (he’s a no-chunk kind of guy!). For me, they’re perfect for hearty soups and stews, but if you’re cooking for someone who’s chunk-averse, be ready to do some extra chopping. Still, for the quality and taste, they’re hard to beat! Great flavor, but mind the chunks!

I enjoy making homemade pasta sauce. I have discovered Muir Glen and I won't go back to anything else. Of particular note is 'no tin can flavor'. Anyone, who has made pasta from canned tomatoes has had the tin can flavor at some time or another, but not in Muir Glen, or that I have yet to notice. Also, I have not seen better prices in stores.

Great tomatoes; nice to find them on Amazon for a good price! I think they won Cook's Illustrated for best diced tomatoes a few years back. I love this brand.

I love these...flavor, aroma and they stay chunky in stews or chilis....oh yea....these are the best tomatoes.
