SR990 Closed-Back Studio Reference Headphones

Build quality not the best but the 'phone was very light. Not as clampy as the Sr950 and was comfortable. The velour pads came on the headphone and were pretty comfortable, more so than the pleather. Sound was outstanding for the price! The clarity was excellent and the bass was tight and punchy, but not overblown. I actually had several instances when the sound seemed to come from the ourside, that's how good the soundstage was. The 990 is a great choice if you enjoy listening to music.

Came broken couldnt get a refund. Wires in headset was already broken. Producrs sound on only one side. Past purchases were great. This one not so much.

I use this on my keyboard all the time for mixing and recording, they do allow outside Sound in, after about 40 50% Call In he won’t hear it. Not everyone wants to put on wireless headphones because there’s major loss and delay in audio quality and wireless radios cause cancer. Invest Five minutes for your well-being and do some research for your health. They are very soft on the ears they will not pinch the top of your head or anything like that. Are there better Wired headphones, sure. but if your health is important to you, please stop buying wireless headphones and earbuds.

I'm an audio engineer so I use headphones a lot for mixing, mastering and recording. I purchased them to replace a pair of these same headphones after the right ear stopped working. About two weeks after purchasing and using them in a studio environment, the right ear suddenly stopped working AGAIN. You can imagine my frustration. I run a pretty controlled space in my studio so I don't put these through any aggressive handling and they never leave the studio. I guess they're just not that well built. Not durable at all. The sound is actually really good and my ears are already used to them so I like them a lot. They fit comfortably, I can use them for hours and they won't make my ears hurt.

I did nothing to them, just suddenly one day they stopped working on the right side.

Das ist vermutlich der beste Kopfhörer, den ich je hatte, bin wirklich begeistert! Man nutze am besten einen fetten Popsong zum Optimieren des Klangs mit dem Equalizer, denn er kommt werksseitig rein neutral zum Kunden. Kaufargument war vorher die Abwesenheit von irgendwelchen Gelenken aus Plastik bei diesem Kopfhörer. Die brechen nämlich früher oder später immer ab - so wie bei meinem Vorgänger-Kopfhörer (lag in einer höherer Preisklasse als dieser hier!): Das war jetzt der Anlass zum Kauf dieses Kopfhörers gewesen. Bei diesem Kopfhörer gibt es solche Gelenke nicht, er sollte also länger halten. Zudem ist der Klang einfach wunderbar! Er passt auch auf dicke Köpfe wie meinen ohne unbequem zu werden. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

faulty by design ?, these headphones have a major fault, the fault with these headphones is the signal path is passed through the support bands each band has either the positive or the negative running through it which means that the design fault is that the manufacturer is installing the run off cables far too short so putting the headphones on and off your head in time will/can snap the run off signal cable[s] so you will lose sound signal in one earpiece such a shame that skimping on this minor detail ruins such a good sounding pair headphones typical stack them high mentality, however sound quality is excellent for the money can i recommend them, NO, because after time the cable will snap and drive you mad,

What can I say, for the price these are without a doubt, the best budget headphones for studio referencing. If you are thinking of buying these for your studio/home studio for referencing , you cannot go wrong with the Samson headphones. Best in their class. These are light and airy on the ears and give a superb frequency/sound response. Delighted.
