Schlage Touch Electronic Deadbolt Lock with Century Trim, Matte Black

I think I've purchased 5 of these now, for my home and second home/garages. They're simple, no wifi, no bluetooth, nothing to break. Just enter the code and the door opens. IF the battery goes dead, you can hold a 9v against the tabs for temp power. Very reliable and simple. Press the Schlage logo and a light comes on to see the keypad in the dark. Super simple to use compared to a lot of the bluetooth/wifi/app based locks.

I love this keyless door lock! It is durable, great quality, and so easy to install, it works great and is so easy to use! Even my 6 year old uses it with ease. The best part is I never have to dig through my purse to find my keys. So handy when my arms are full!! I installed this 5 months ago and it still has full battery life. Definitely getting value for the affordable cost.

I installed this deadbolt in early 2020, but didn't write a review, assuming I'd write one after I'd used it for awhile. Well, here's the review, some four+ years later! Definitely glad I chose this Schlage deadbolt. Installation went well, no problems, and it has worked flawlessly for the past 4+ years. I very much like that it does *not* connect to my wi-fi or smart phone, so there's almost nothing to go wrong. I use this lock every day, usually two or three times a day. No problems! I love not having to remember to bring my keys, nor having to dig into my bicycle bag looking for them. Very convenient, very reliable. And today I finally needed to replace the original 9V battery after those 4+ years. Great! All in all, I'm very happy with this lock.

I have been a professional locksmith for over 14 years and have used many Schlage products. When they introduced their original keyless entry for residential applications in 2007 I bought one and promptly installed it on my home. It is still running to this day. As soon as this newest design was released from Schlage I purchased on and just received it today. I installed it on my side garage door, which is my most used door. I look forward to seeing how it holds up to the elements. But for now, here is my opinion of the lock: Pros: 1) The lock is easy to install, as long as you have a 2 1/8" standard deadbolt prep this lock will install very easily. 2) The lock has a small knob which the user must use to throw the bolt instead of being driven by a motor. This allows for the user to ensure that the bolt throws correctly. Bolts which use a motor are subject to having the motor burn out if the door becomes misaligned. 3) The terminals on the outside for a 9 volt battery provide an emergency power source, so even if you run your battery dead, you'll still be able to get in. 4) The multiple user codes are nice, so you can give out codes to multiple people such as contractors and delete their codes when they are finished. 5) The interior trim piece leaves a much smaller footprint than the previous model. This looks much nicer. Tucking the wires inside took a second, but it's worth it. Overall I feel it's a great lock and I really don't have any complaints. The older model is also still a great lock, and a little bit cheaper, so if you're on a budget you may want to look at the older style. I'm sure the price will come down on this lock in a few months.

Very solid. Easy installation. No missing hardware. It disengaged the manual locking handle on the inside or outside after a short time. So, the lock stays unlocked (deadbolt retracted) if you forget to turn the lock by hand. It is lacking an auto locking option where the deadbolt slides to the lock position. I did know that when I bought the lock. Just would be nice if it locked on its own (e.g. like the Schlage WiFi lock)

Top quality, easy to install. It fit easily in the existing holes from the old key lock set. Has been working flawlessly since I installed it. Looks good, works exactly as expected.

Bought 3 of these to replace door locks and these are terrible. First one is installed and works perfectly, second one installed well but the programming code did not match the lock they sent, third one seems to have an internal component issue that won’t turn the deadbolt and after watching a few tutorials on how to fix it I will have to do a warranty claim with Schlage.

Easy to install. Instructions easy to follow. I got this because I wanted keyless access but not anything that could be hacked or otherwise easily defeated. Build quality is nice and after a year of use ease of use and reliability seem.grrat as well.
