My set of four 12x12x1s came in an undamaged cardboard box. The first filter I used was undamaged. Months later, I discovered the other three were rather mangled on one side.The frames are not torn, so they are staying together. But once the filters are in place, small gaps exist on one end of the left and right edges.Other than that, they are snagging more particles than the last ones I bought, which had a lower MERV rating, fewer pleats, and were not Filtrete.
