Great fids!
Very smooth, nice tips, and the paracord threads on easily and firmly. I'm not use to using it yet(cut my cord too short), so I've had to add some length of hollowed out cord. Cut a piece or use scraps and pull the inner strands out. Use a fid to open up the sleeve, and melt the ends a put the fid in again to keep the opening wide. Then melt and form a point on your working cord that's too short. Insert it into the hollowed cord, and melt a bit and squeeze it in, rotate, melt, squeeze, repeat. Once you work it through your project, give a good yank and it comes apart if you didn't melt it on too much, otherwise just cut it.Hope this helps.

Quite impressive.
I got these because they were recommended by another Amazon customer in a review of something else paracord related. I was fairly skeptical, but I have become a believer.Paracord can be twisted into the open, threaded end of the needle and then slipped through other paracord knots with relative ease.I'm glad it came in a pack of two needles, because I've already lost one. I would certainly recommend these to anyone working on paracord stuff as they are quite handy. In fact, I'm not sure that some of the work I was doing could have been done at all without them. Great product.

Great quality product, vibrant blue color
I occasionally make paracord items for friends and family and came across a couple of projects that required a fid. After I used it to create a handle wrapping it made me wish I had bought one sooner! It makes knot passes soooo much easier. I didn't need two fids, but because its nice having a spare for when I misplace one or if my husband "borrows" it =) Love the bright blue color, as it helps make spotting it easier amongst complex knot work or just on my craft table.

These are a quality product, but can be hard to run through some of the different types of paracord I have used. If you mainly work with para cord you may want to use a smaller size (in diameter), for pushing the fid through a longer strands of paracord is difficult. If you are using it mainly for splicing two ends together they are perfect. The para cord screws into end of the fid with easier then any others I have used and fits inside very securely.

Came quick and they work great. Can't ask for more.
Jig pro shop items are awesome. I've already left a review on the super pro monkey paw jig thing. Love this company. These needles are great though. Shorter ones would be perfect I think they sell them I've just gotta spend some time. Those last few passes can be such a pain and shorter ones would be perfect! But definitely ordering future products from these guys on the regular.

Great item but it may take some time to do it right
These are great tools to have. It will take some time to learn the proper technique for attaching these to your Paracord but it isn't impossible to use. Just make sure you account for some extra length on your projects as you work this through because I found it best to cut off the end and try again when I messed it up.

Good Quality, No Frills
These fids are exactly as advertised - made of solid aluminum, and durable enough for hobby use. (If you're using these every day or for heavy-duty repairs, you should get steel ones, not aluminum.) The 'shovel' points are well-designed and helpful. Sold at a very reasonable price by Jig Pro Shop, LLC. Overall, a fine purchase.

Grate needle
I liked them a lot light weight and the color helped find it if you drop it . I used it with para cord to learn to tie monkey fist knot .
