Nice large sturdy tent

Floor is the problem
Removable floor allows in bugs, snakes and water, maybe good for mountain basecamps, worthless in most other conditions. No attempt at a seal of any kind, you might as well be on the ground.

The best glacier base camp tent that wonât break the bank
The lair is exactly what a lair ought to be. A home for animals in the wild. We three mountaineers lived in the lair for two weeks as a base camp for climbing and skiing Mount Waddington in the coast range of British Columbia in April. Though it âcouldâ fit 8 people, it was the perfect base camp tent for three on a glacier. Plenty of room to spread out, plenty of external guy points to hold up to heavy winds and snows, plenty of internal guy points to set up a drying rack for all of our gear, and plenty of ventilation to keep us from getting snowed on in the tent. Vestibules allow you to take off and store snowy boots while keeping the interior dry. The removable floor and external flap system is brilliant. We didnât want to spend $5000 on a base camp tent, and this (along with a BD mega mid for cooking) made the three of us feel like we were kings in a glacier palace. Literally canât suggest a design improvement... other tent makers should take notice. Thank you Marmot for designing a base camp tent that doesnât cost $5000
