EDITED (previous: "interface 2 doesn't seem to work")
UPDATED:I'm an idiot. Card works. Both interfaces work. pfSense is plenty happy with it. Made some pretty rookie technical mistakes. Works with Debian bullseye too.Original review:I use this in my pfSense box, the drivers are happy with the chipset, and both interfaces are recognized. Interface 1 (igb0) is perfectly good. Interface 2 (igb1) doesn't detect a carrier. I've tried multiple cables, rebooting, and other troubleshooting steps. Link issues are one thing but it can't even tell there's a cable plugged in... I'll have to end up getting another card for my project.

So far so good in my TrueNAS
I was a little nervous about getting this card since the obvious "english as a second language" description made it seem like maybe it was but maybe it wasn't, but maybe it was running an intel chip and because of the reviews reporting non-intel chips. However, when I installed it in my truenas server to FINALLY replace the on-board garbage(realtek, yes, I should have read the section on compatible NICs when building the thing), the system booted right up and even presented the intel bios prompt for each chip/port on the card. I still wasn't 100% convinced so booted a live linux distro to see what the card actually reported for its chips. It's a dual card and both chips came up intel. Now that isn't to say they aren't couterfeit. China has proven it knows no boundaries when it comes to that, even going as far as hacking chips to present seemingly genuine identification/specs. I did do a sort of stress test after booting back into truenas by copying ~1tb of data and the transfer held steady at 103-105MB/s (big B for byte, not Mb/s for bit), which is satisfactorily close to the gigabit rating of my network. I also streamed on 2 devices at the same time from plex running on the server. It didn't drop once. The on-board garbage would regularly drop out with less than half that throughput. We'll see how it stands up over time though. Will update if anything changes. I'll also update if I ever get around to upgrading the rest of my network for higher speed and/or to handle aggregation so I can test that feature properly.

Know that you're buying a Chinese network card, use at your own risk.
While unlikely to be an issue for most home applications, a chinese network card is probably a no go for many places due to potential security concerns. I use it for my home server that host docker containers for media centers, HVAC, and some small home automation and web services, it's enough for me and I might consider putting it on a VLAN later. Works great with VMware ESX8

Dual Gig Ethernet NIC
For the money, this Intel based chip was an excellent buy. I used it for a linux router and was concerned about driver support. Needless to say it just purrs along and has improved the i/O of the router. Thanks for the excellent product.

IF..... If Intel were to use Realtek componets It still wouldn't be worth the buy
Item came in quickly with no issues or hassels. That is where the good news stops.............. 34 days after Install card quit working. My first issue happened directly after 1st start-up, although it didn't hit me until a week has passed and no issues came up so I let it ride. My biggest mistake was not taking the Network card directly out and send it back to Amazon. The item (network card) said Intel (on the box) but directly after the bios came up (after install) the next screen came up saying if I wanted access the "Realtek" network card I should press "shift + f10". That got me wondering.... Why in the world would a 1st rate Company Like Intel ask a 2nd rated company to install chips or even a bios from the second rated company? To all those wondering..... The Don't..... No Way in the world would Intel ask Realtek for bios or chips of any type. Thats like Ford or Chevy asking Yugo to make engines for their Mustangs or Corvettes. Yes they make (made) cars and engines however Yougo don't or didn't at any time make engines for ford or chevy.Stay Away from this card unless you like being deceived or like paying for something that breaks after Amazons warranty expires

I have been looking for a 1gb dual nic card that was PCI not PCIe for a very long time
I had been looking to use a VERY old computer (only 32bit pci slots) for a pfsense box and I had the parts in my desk drawer for quite some time. The very last piece that I needed was the Dual 1GB nic card that was PCI not PCIe. I had been duped several times before and was a little hesitant to get this card and waste another bit of money on something I could not use in this box, but I am glad I did, because this was perfect.

Chipset works great but possible QA/QC issues
I have several of these, the Intel chipset is great but the cards themselves seem to burn out -- had one cease functioning after only 3 months and another in a different machine after about 8 months.

Awesome PCI Network Card
Excellent card !!! :)Works no probs under Win10x64 - uses Windows drivers, so no downloads or installs... :)Works in PFSense, no probs !!! :)Works with VMWare ESXi-6.5 / 6.7 OS if I remember correctly...ALL ABOVE OS's SEE THE CARD AS 2 SEPARATE CARDS, SO 2 SEPERATELY CONFIGURABLE INDEPENDENT 1gb NETWORK PORTS...ONLY WORKS WITH VMWARE ESXI-7 USING 'PCI-PASSTHROUGH' - NOT SUPPORTED IN ESXI-7+ OS !!!WIN10 - CANT DO 'NIC TEAMING' TO COMBINE THE NICS FOR 2gb SPEED, COS INTEL SOFTWARE DOESNT WORK WITH WIN10 DRIVERS, AND NO NEW INTEL DRIVERS AS FAR AS I KNOW... !!!PROBABLY THE SAME FOR WINDOWS SERVER OS'sI THINK 'NIC-TEAMING' STILL WORKS UNDER WIN-7 AND SERVER-2008-R2, USING INTEL DRIVERS, BUT DEF CHECK THE INTEL SUPPORT / DRIVER DOWNLOAD PAGE, ETC...CARD ALSO COMES WITH A HALF-SIZE BRACKET, AND AN INTEL 'DRIVER CD / DISK' !!! :)And the last one I just bought had a silver heatsink instead of a black heatsink... :)Hope helps... !!! :)

Outdated unsupported chips
Actually an older chip with challenging support for windows 10/64. Performance is worse than modern Realtek chips

Works great. Also on Linux.
Does the job for both Windows 10 and Linux. Had a network reliability issue with Huawei embedded NICs and this was the cure.
