Be careful
It is a truly great light. Put it loose in my pocket. The switch accidentally activated. It got quickly hot enough to burn my coat.

Great EDC
Older reviews disparage how the single button interface works. However the newer one, which I have is totally redesigned, the button is two stage now. This new interface fixes almost all the complaints there were about the older interface. This is almost the perfect EDC light. A single push of the two stage switch turns the light on at the last brightness level. Yes there are issues with having a single button but if you get how it works, this is totally OK. You have to learn a bit here but less than before.I have many flashlights but this one is my total favorite currently. The 4000 lumen turbo mode is awesome. Do NOT look at it, it will damage your eyes, believe me.For the size of this light, you cannot get better.

There is one issue.
Great little flashlight, I carry it everyday for work. Plenty bright even during the day for dark areas. My one issue is button placement. This flashlight gets hot very quickly and the button to turn on off and cycle through the modes is very easily activated in your pocket or belt clip. The button stands out rather than in a recess so even leaning against a wall or heaven forbid you sit down with it in your back pocket.

Great Torch
Bought this torch for my job, it's an awesome torch. Small size, fits in the pocket well and the light from it is perfect. A good spread of light which I need for close up work but still has enough throw for me and the Turbo mode just floods everything! I bought 2 spare batteries with it and like the fact that I can charge them out of the torch with just my cellphone charger. As for the UI, I adjusted to it in 30secs and like that part too. The torch feels great and is a quality piece of kit! I'm more than happy with it and are certainly glad I bought it.

**UPDATE** Flashlight is decent, customer service non-existent.
I received the flashlight, charged up the batteries, and it’s awesome!! Very bright. Easy to learn. Been my edc ever since. One of the batteries I received is not working. Will not charge. The others will. I contacted customer service. Never heard back. I’ve yet to recharge a battery again, but I can say I’ve used it quite a bit, and it’s still going!UPDATE 3 MONTHS LATER*****I contacted customer service about the dead battery, never heard back. (One battery was DOA.)The flashlight, though bright, is now crashing often. Doesn’t properly turn on, have to unscrew the cap, and replace then the flashlight works good, for a while. Will crash again. The battery was starting to go low, so I went to charge it. I’m using the USBA to USB C cable they provide. The battery no longer charges. I’m glad I got 3 batteries with this, because I’m now down to one functional battery. I charged the previous battery only twice (Has great longevity). I use my light daily, for at least 15-20 minutes. I use the high mode often.I have recommended this light to others. I gifted one to a friend, which led me to buy it for myself. I had another friend grab one too. They do not use theirs as much as I do, so have not had the issues I am having. However I am not trusting of the batteries now that I’ve lost 2. I think the batteries are unable to handle the heat this light produces when on a brighter setting.I would not recommend this light, as I don’t believe they ha e a battery that can properly keep it going for long periods of time life wise. If anyone has experiences like me, you will end up going through batteries. The one that was DOA never charged. The one I was using charged 3 times before it quit charging (also, the tops of the batteries get really warm when charging, and that’s marked on the battery). This battery should be lasting me 2-3 years, not 2-3 months.

Wow.
I replaced a Nitecore P12 with this item and am as impressed with this one as I was with the P12 when I first purchased it. Nitecore makes some phenomenal products and I am proud to own a couple of them.

Super bright!
This is a super bright torch. Be aware it does warm up fast as expected by such a bright light. But it is still great. My only gripe is it would be great w3oth a focus beam/zoom option.

Well made flashlight, but not well designed....
The Nitecore E4K looks fine. However when I click the on button I want the light to turn on. Not so with the E4k. Doing so gives me a status update on the health of the battery. The designers at Nitecore set aside their common sense. To get the flashlight to turn on one needs to click and hold the button down for a bit. It is not a huge issue but I would not buy again or recommend the E4K to others. When a flashlight only has one button it needs to turn on the flashlight when you press it. Simple and straight forward.
