I love this so much! Next time I go to build a bear I’m gonna focus on making him a daddy bear! So sweet and adorable!

Hated the cover loved the book. Wish the story had been longer. After all he needs to rescue her from an ex-boyfriend or an evil insurance company... Or something.

Author Maren Smith is one of my favorite authors. Her books are the ones I read when I’m having an off day and need a good “happy” book to make me feel better. This short story, of course, was amazing —as is all her work. (I’ve been reading her work since 2007 / 2008.)I know some people are uncomfortable with Littles as a lifestyle choice, but I love it. Submissive age-players are consenting adults recapturing a particular essence of life that is often lost to the harsh realities of our world by the time we reach adulthood.We are often told to put away “childish things” — but why? If we meet our responsibilities as adults, why can’t we engage in those things (we loved as young children) in our off-time, if that is our desire? Why can’t we play? And Daddy Doms / Mommy Doms are just doing what Dominants do best— taking care of others as they need be cared for.When I attend BDSM conferences, Littles (along with Pet Players) are my favorite— and I can’t tell you how often I wished I could abandon “Adulthood” just for few hours and play too— put on a dress that makes me feel like a princess and color and eat cupcakes and play with puppies and kittens and just leave behind all the stress and anxiety and responsibility of life and experience childlike innocence, wonderment and fun again—if only for a day.As mature citizens living in the world, we’re supposed to have our shit together. I’m a responsible adult and productive member of society. Yet, I didn’t even give myself a proper breakfast this morning. iDK. Maybe I need a Daddy Dom to remind me the importance of a good meal. And a good night’s sleep. And to remember to take my medicine.Anyway, the point is, Build-a-Daddy is a great book. I wish it were longer. Great characters, great story, I didn’t want it to end....So, now what?You, dear readers, should go buy the book. As for me, maybe I’ll go put on “Father Figure” by George Michael (*heavy sigh*) and hope it rains this afternoon. If it does, maybe I’ll put on boots and go jump in a puddle. Can’t remember the last time I had some simple fun like that.

I have read this story more than once! It is a favorite of mine. I love a sweet instalove! Especially one that I can read quickly, as I am very busy!

I loved the premise of this story, a bit of magically intervention, a build-a-bear and a snow storm bring Aubrey the Daddy Dom of her dreams.This story was equal parts sweet and funny, I really enjoyed it.I of course do with it had been longer but that happens more often than not with me, I'm a greedy reader!

Let me tell you.... Its goes from awww... She should have what she wants... No matter what!... To... Huh... Whats happening.... To... Hmmm... Thats a twist to the story.... To fatal attraction scary in the real stuff lol.... To... And she's still in his car lol... He must be crazy too lol. Its a good short story. I almost wish there was more. On the other hand, you already know, it can only get better from there.

It felt like an intro to an unfinished story. The characters get set up and the chemistry is there in spades but then it abruptly ends and there was no conclusion or proper ending.I was really liking up until that ending, tbh. This author is one of the best in this genre but I guess I was hoping for more.FYI this was clean read - no sexual interactions between MCs (outside of h fantasizing about H and talk of a possible relationship between them).The whole story takes place in a single car trip of several hours.

No plot spoilersNo potential triggersThere are a couple of errors but nothing to irritate.The characterisation is good, I liked both main characters, with the assigned roles written well.It's a HEA but it can't be labelled a romance, they know each other 24 hours so I don't even recall a kiss let alone I love you, but there is spanking and an adorable scene where her Little rules the moment.

Best author I’ve read in a long while. Just the right amount of humour and sexy shenanigans.... I’ll be reading more of her books!
