It’s perfect
I bought this to augment my sour dough bread making. It did the trick. Soft and chewy on the inside, luscious dark crust on the outside. Love the product

From bread, desserts, to whole chickens
I am sooo excited to add this cast iron dutch oven to my collection! The lid can also be used as a cooking container, which I love, we actually used it to make a deep dish pizza! I've also been able to cook a peach cobbler with ease (no sticking despite not having an enamel lining) and I roasted a WHOLE 4 1/2 pound chicken in it with great results!Already added another to my wish list for my birthday!

Updated after more use
Update: I've used these pans to make Artisan bread a few times and started to see more of a patina developing, so I am seasoning them again, upside down in the oven. I'm more optimistic than before. The bottom still has an uneven coating, but some of the reading I've done says that isn't unusual and will smooth out with time and use.As a less expensive set, I can recommend these. I think once the patina has developed more evenly, I will be more comfortable cooking other foods besides bread in them. You should feel comfortable buying this set. Lightly rub surface with oil on paper towel and bake upside down in 450 oven for an hour. This helps build the patina.Original review: I bought these as the listing says pre-seasoned on them. I don't have a lot of experience with cast iron, but it had been a struggle getting a non-stick finish until I got my first pre-seasoned Lodge skillet.I do know it can take some time to get your pans where you want them. But my Lodge has been like a non stick pan from day one. I've had it a couple years now. Never given me a problem.I'm going to give it some time with this set. I bought this less expensive set to bake bread primarily, and it works ok for that bc there is almost no cleanup. But I'm not sure how it will handle cooking food (in terms of cleanup) and I'm a little afraid to try.I'm attaching 3 pictures. The smooth skillet is my Lodge. The Dutch oven and the lid are this product. The pictures aren't as clear as I would like, but hopefully you can see the difference.I am a little disappointed. But I'm going to give it some time. I fully expect to get a pre-seasoned Lodge set if I want to try cooking in it and these will be donated. I may see if these could be sanded down and re-seasoned? I'll look into that. And to the troll who purposely rusted their pans to give a negative review...well, science class wasn't your best topic in school, was it.

Great for cooking and baking
Love the versatility of the lid. Just the right size for cooking for a family. I sauté vegetables and the oil doesn’t splash out as much because of the deep sides of the pot. I cook eggs, sausages using the lid. I place my sourdough bread dough in the pot with lid on and place it in the cold oven to bake. This is cold start method for baking sourdough. The bread came out fantastic. The reason is the pot slowly warms up giving the dough time to rise to its max capacity, then bakes it fully. I remove the lid to brown for an additional 10 min.

Durable
Bought this for smoking on a pellet grill. Good quality that I anticipate having forever.

Poor quality
After one use, the lid I thought was such a fantastic idea because you could use it on its own, rusted after the first use.The first time i cooked withthe pot, the food was darker than expected. After about the fourth use i figured out that the black color of the pan was leaching into the foods. I was very disgusted as i had fed people using this pot. Needless to say i threw the pot out and have since just stuck with made a in America cast iron brand. I never used to be fussy about such things but at this point the health and safety of those around me matters more.

Excellent price and quality balance
Cumple lo que promete, esperaba menos por su bajo costo sin embargo me sorprendió, lo único que mejoraría es el agarre quizá si fueran un poco más largos sería mejor, eso si es súper importante darle un buen mantenimiento para evitar que se oxide
