Solar Lanterns Outdoor Hanging Solar Lights Decorative for Garden Patio Porch and Tabletop Decorations. (Hummingbird)

Really holding up well to the elements so far. Some have suggested putting a varnish or coating on the design but they don't show any signs of weathering in the last 5 months of weather and direct sun. I'm happy.

Bought both the hummingbird and butterfly options as gifts. The recipient loved them!I can't speak to how well they worked or if they are weatherproof, because the recipient liked them so much she wanted to display them prominently inside the home.I haven't heard of any issues yet and the recipient has had the lanterns for over a month, so I assume they are doing their job as aesthetically pleasing decorative lanterns pretty well.

Updated Review: I've bought 6 of these lanterns because the butterflies are so pretty. Replaced the first 2 lanterns because the decals peeled off. Currently using 2 lanterns and have 2 spares.To preserve the decals, I sprayed clear polyurethane on the lanterns. But I realized that the decals would eventually peel off, so I reversed the side panels so that the decals were on the inside. It's an easy fix and I think it solves the peeling decal problem.When using 2 lanterns, one lantern didn't stay lit as long as the other one. I figured that the battery should be replaced. There was a single AAA battery in a compartment that holds three AAA batteries.The current description for this product states that a single AA battery is required. I don't know why the modification was made to the product, but it was annoying to see a single AAA battery in the the second lantern.A single AA battery is about twice the capacity of a single AAA battery. That's why the second lantern never lasted more than 3 hours - even if it charged for 10 or 12 hours in the summer months. Currently using 3 AAA batteries. The lanterns stay lit for the same amount of time.

Very disappointed! After hanging outdoors for 4 months, the bird picture pealed off. It is not hand painted; it is a decal that didn’t hold up good at all.

I don't know how this works but I set the latern out on my front porch even though it was cloudy. After a few hours I brought it inside and it contnued to glow and now it is 6am at it continues to clow. Not bright enough to read by but enough to see any obstacle in your path.

We got this as a Father's Day gift for my 97 year old widower father-in-law. He gets a lot of enjoyment from his yard and he was very happy to receive this. He and my mother-in-law used to enjoy watching hummingbirds in their garden so I thought the design was perfect. It worked fine, lighting up each evening. On a recent visit, however, I noticed the design was peeling off and had become quite unsightly. This is after less than 6 months. I did not read the instructions that came with it myself but from the description on Amazon we certainly did not expect this result in such a short time. Disappointing.

I enjoy my purchase, very happy I got it. Looks great and is well lit at night.
