Lot of fun. Just don't hold it by the treads.
I'm a toy collector and armature engineer. I bought this because I thought it looked cool and I might find the vehicle useful for other projects. Anyway, I loaded it up with rechargeable batteries and I set up a basic track and let it go. I had a blast messing with it and setting up different track configurations. I even set the track in a loop and ran the toy for almost 2 hours non stop. I have been putting the toy through the paces all weekend and have not been able to replicate any battery drain issues. It just works as expected. The only issue I ran into was if I forcibly held the treads in place while the power was on. That seems to trigger some kind of power safety cut off. Easy fix for that is to pop out the batteries, wait 30 seconds for any residual charge to dissipate, pop the batteries back in and it starts right up. OR, just don't hold the treads. The only negative thing I can think is that the glue for the stickers doesn't stick all that well. Other than that, this is just a rock solid toy and a lot of fun.

Pro: It rules, Con: Goes through batteries
To all you uncles out there: this thing is awesome. It's a track that these little independent treaded vehicles climb on, but the vehicles can go anywhere, so (like in the demo video) you can space the tracks out and make a whole Rube Goldberg thing out of it.Major suggestion for buyers: get a rechargeable battery kit for it, AAA.Major suggestion for manufacturer: if these vehicles had internal quick rechargeable batteries you'd have a Power Treads revolution on your hands!

Great toy, short battery life
My 3yo son asked for this for Christmas 2020 when he saw the ad on YouTube. I got it and was surprised at how easy it was to get going. The tread snaps off the actual machine to pull the tag for the batteries that come with it. I do recommend having a pair of AAA batteries as the ones they arrive with will die soon. One weird thing or issue or whatever you want to call it, is we noticed we would have to restart the machine very often. Kinda like it was overheating, but it wasn’t. To do this. We would turn it off when it would shut off and rub the tread across it a little and then it would be able to turn back on. Batteries do seem to die quickly with it though no matter what. Maybe use rechargeable. That all being said, it is a BIG HIT with my son. He loves it so much even though it dies often.

My son loves this toy!
Got this for my son, and he loves it! He was able to snap the track pieces together fairly easily, (with a little help from dad) and has been building different obstacle courses using some of his other toys for this thing to navigate through, climb over, and knock down. If your kid loves cars, trucks, or tanks they will love this toy! As others have noted, holding or stopping the running treads does drain the batteries faster, but since this is such a unique and different type of toy, it took a little while for my son to get used to picking it up from the sides. After changing the original batteries out, and demonstrating to my son how to grab and hold the toy, he played with it for a couple of hours before having to replace the batteries again. Overall, this is a fun toy, and my son really enjoys playing with it.

My 3.5yr old loved it!
This makes a great race track for young kids! My 3.5yr old loved it, specially the Power Treads! It follows the tracks perfectly, but the best is the attached robot that we kindly named it “Puppy”. The track is sturdy and large enough to fit other toy cars/ trucks, as it is not tiny and little like Matchbox or HotWheels tracks. It’s super simple to put together, the instructions are pretty clear, but the pieces and tracks are very intuitive.I definitely recommend this if your kiddo is into cars and race tracks, or robotics and logic. It makes a great brain-break activity because it is fun to put it together and play!

It’s ok.
My son lost interest pretty quick. The set it not very big, would need to buy two of these. The black leg attachments come apart super easy. I don’t think I’d buy this again.

Wonderful product and very fun!
I've purchased many "track" items for my kids and was peaked by the concept of this item having a full track tread on the body. Initially skeptical, I had seen a few articles mentioning this was a good product. After getting the item, I can attest to this and it is a great product. It's very easy to put together (although stickers can be a mild pain), tread is easy, and these vehicles are so cool. My son and I have had so much fun playing with this item and I only wish I had so much more track! Highly recommend.

Easy to assemble right out of the box! My kids love it!
The media could not be loaded. Really loved how easy the pieces are to assemble, you really don't even need the instructions. Stickers are easy to reposition if you don't get them on perfectly. Kids love that the track can be assembled so many different ways and think the walking robot is super cool. 5yo has no problem pulling the track pieces apart and putting them back together. Fun that you can position the track in a "Rube Goldberg" manner and the power treads work on all kinds of surfaces.
