Locca Thai Bliss Boba Tea Kit

My adolescent son loves getting boba tea when we go out so we decided to try this kit at home together. It was a fun project that kept us busy for an afternoon. The process is lengthy, but each step is fairly easy and the instructions were clear. Perfect for a budding chef! We have only tried the Jasmine Tea so far but it was very high quality. The results were tasty and my son was very proud to serve special drinks to the whole family!

This boba tea-making kit is great for an afternoon with the family. The directions for making perfect boba and expertly-brewed tea were clear and easy to change the number of servings to reflect the number of drinks one wants to make. The final product is a contender with any of the Boba places in Los Angeles! Thanks so much for the great product!

Pleasantly surprised with this Boba tea kit. Boxed nicely and would make a great gift. All teas taste very fresh and flavorful (not like typical tea bags). Tai tea is great. Children love the lavender tea, and the black tea was good as well. Great recipe card directions walk you through making sweetener, cooking Boba (takes longer than we expected), but this seems to make the process more fun and family friendly.. Children love making their own boba tea, like they see in the stores. Downsides: Not enough Boba. I used very little (sparingly), and ran out after about 7-9 cups of Boba tea. If this came with double the Boba, I would have given this 5 stars all around. Kit should come with a cheesecloth bag/filter to keep small particles out of tea. UPDATE We ordered more boba black pearls on Amazon. pleasantly surprised to find that the flavorful and aromatic Tea do stretch. Decided after multiple preps, decided we didn't actually need cheesecloth (we use a vegetable straining ladle or a pasta ladle to pull pearls from water). Thai tea is flavorfuk, colorful and my personal favorite.

Bought as a gift for someone who always goes and purchases their own tea. They seemed to like it and it would be awesome for me to purchase again and trying myself.

We decided to have Asian food for Thanksgiving, and I ordered this because two of us love the boba in our local Thai restaurants. I chose this kit because another brand's kit that I was considering had reviews complaining the pearls tasted and felt like gummies candy. That's exactly how these pearls turned out! However, I'm an inexperienced cook and probably didn't time the steeping right. Also, we used almond milk instead of half-and-half; stevia instead of sugar; and I think the host's ice cubes had been in the freezer for too long. I'll try it again exactly as directed on the instruction card while the uncooked boba is still usable, and maybe it will have a better texture if I'm more careful and don't steep it for too long. Three stars because it was packaged so elegantly, and the Thai tea was delicious.

This is a gift so I did not try the tea, but it is nicely boxed and very attractive.

The boba for all of the teas is all in one singular vacuum sealed package & the instructions say best if used within 5 hrs. So you get all of the teas and you have 5 hrs to drink them all or the boba is over saturated & tastes gross. Want to refrigerate them for later? They keep FROZEN for 36-48 hrs. They should’ve been sent in separate packages like the teas. Garbage quality control. Lots of boba are broken down into what looks like sawdust and stuck together inside the package so even if you wanted to make them all at once like you’re forced to, you don’t get the quantity you pay for because so many of them have turned into dusty remnants. Also, the boba are vacuum sealed AND have a preservative package full of silicone desiccant inside the singular boba pkg. Why the need for both? If the vacuum seal isn’t enough to preserve the boba, why are they selling them at all except to make a buck? SKIP THESE. Waste of time and money.

This boba kit is a game changer. The box, packaging, and recipes are beautifully designed and put together. The Boba pearls (absolutely delicious) and tea its self is very high quality. This is defiantly a premium kit at an amazing price! And to be completely honest, after this, I don’t think I’ll ever buy Boba tea outside again because this is by far the best I had. It is also super easy to prepare. 10/10 would buy again!
