I regularly use Eyal Shifroni's last 2 excellent books, "A Chair for Yoga" and the first volume of "Props for Yoga" to help design classes. This 2nd volume offers some tried and true variations on asanas, as well as many I had never seen before. As in the other books, Shifroni includes explanations about how and why we would use props therapeutically or to increase awareness. It is especially helpful if you practice or teach Iyengar Yoga and already have some experience of props. But I think it would be of benefit to any yoga practitioner with an interest in furthering his knowledge.

Number one props book for Iyengar Yoga
I have "chairs for yoga" and "vol 1" of Eyal Shifroni's "Pros for Yoga". Have to admit this is a number one book for props, clear instructions and extensive alternatives to cater different body situation. This is not for beginners, one has to have experience at class and want more for home set up / practise.I have been attending Iyengar yoga class for more than 3.5 years and I benefit a lot from Eyal's book series. Home practises and guidance from the book becomes my daily routine.

Amazing practice and teaching tool!
I love Eyal Shifroni's yoga books, which show and describe a great variety of modifications of asanas using props including chairs, straps, blocks, belts, blankets and weights. They inspire both my Iyengar yoga practice as well as my teaching. Got down on the floor last night for a 2 hour practice just trying out poses from the first half of this book and ideas are already flowing for my next practice and classes I will teach.

Excellent instruction on the use of props for sitting poses
Excellent instruction on the use of props for sitting poses. I have Volume 1 and this is a perfect sequel. I am a yoga teacher and the books given me new way to access poses I have been doing and teaching for years. Photos are clear and the accompanying text is very "user-friendly".I highly recommend both volumes!

Recommended for most yoga teachers, many of whom don't appreciate the key importance of yoga props
This is an excellent and much needed book on the wide variety of uses for props in yoga. Some of the suggested uses are too complicated for anything but a workshop format but overall the book has great ideas which will certainly re-vitalize my teaching.

A fantastic reference book for those who practise Iyengar yoga
After buying the author's first book titled A Chair for Yoga I decided to buy Volumes I, II, & III of the same author's books on the use of props for seated, standing and inverted asanas. This is a great book for those who want to practise Iyengar yoga at home and use props. Don't expect shiny, glossy pages like a book published by the likes of Dorling Kindersley. However, the information between the front and back covers is second to none.
