It’s Space Team #10: what could possibly go wrong?
Have you ever wondered where mustard comes from? Me neither but if you believe this book it comes from the mustard mines on a distant planet! And once again the Space Team is there to save the world in the nick of time. If you have already read adventures 1-9 it would be silly of you to skip this one before reading #11, which is also out. This is Without question the finest, the funniest, and the most dangerous space adventure since episode 9, whichever that one was. And it’s got Space Wasps! And bad guys with eyes in their nostrils. Space Team is the choice of sci-fi humor aficionados from here to Aldebaran who have already read the Hitchiker’s Guide so many times that they had to buy another copy. Read it you must.

Just my opinion.
Excellent continuing mayhem from the Space Team. Cal seemed to take a lot more punishment than his recovery super power should have to deal with, and the wasps are a bit creepy to contend with, but, all in all a good story and time well spent with Space Team.

Cal, Spurt and the rest are.... well, you know.
Cal has the team ready for their next "saving the universe" moment.... but is it the one they belong in? This time the team really has their hands full and Cal is his usual calm self (yeah right) and begins to have a plan...or something...maybe. This is fun to read and the yucks just keep slapping. It has the same humor and twist as all the past and new twists that make turning pages interesting...well, reading, not so much the page turning thing.

Gotta love the space team
This is book 10 of the Space Team series and the author still has me laughing at these goofy characters. Cal Carver & his (space) team of misfits has saved the universe but also, unfortunately, changed the time stream as well. Everything is truly fonked up once they try to return to “normal” space/time and it seems like it only gets worse with each moment. Luckily Hutchinson, the wildly creative author, makes their misfortunes entertaining for us readers with witty dialogue and clever plotting. I’m on board for as many Space Team books as he can produce... honestly, I get most of my books from the library because I’m very cheap but this is one series that I purchase outright because they are worth the price & more (but don’t tell the author or he might jack the price, lol!)

Would recommend
This series is honestly my favorite. If I were stranded on a deserted island, this would be the one set of books I would want to have on me. Besides a set of books on how to survive being stranded on a deserted island. That might take precedence. But anyways. This book was epic. I should have been studying for the SAT. I should have been doing homework. I should have been working on my college applications. I read this instead. Was it worth it? Yes.

Guardians of the Galaxy meet the A-Team!!
One of these days, Cal Carver and the author, Barry Hutchison will grow up and become mature adults. Frankly, that will be a sad day.Like all the Space Team books, this one hit's it's mark, walking the fine line between mature, reasoning characters (everyone except Cal) and Cal Carver's space-immaturity.Well done, funny read, keep the stories coming.

Everything is awesome
The first chapter of this book put me in a good mood for days after reading it. Barry is brilliant and even if you’ve never picked up one of his other books, the general story isn’t too hard to have it stand alone. It’s easily, his best work yet, as they each get better throughout the series.

Great read
I don’t normally do series books, I like to vary both the author and genre, I’ve never read a comedy book, still I found myself returning to the space team series more and more regularly, in the end I gave up an the last 3 books I’ve read have been space team. Highly amusing and with great characters they romp along tongue firmly in cheek at a great pace, they have all the meat of a good sci fi novel but poke fun at them at every opportunity. Imagine Monty python meets Star Trek an your half way there, Mel Brooke’s spaceballs. Great read, very funny, my only criticism, once you read a couple your hooked an there’s 12 to read. Lol

Amazing as always
Funny, action packed, full of bravery and explosions....and.... mustard....this latest Space Team adventure is as fonking entertaining as the previous ones. Can’t wait til it’s available on audio - performed by the awesome Phil Thron.

Enjoyable Read
You know when you save the Galaxy maybe even the Universe you think there would be appreciation aplenty to go around but then when time is manipulated who apart from maybe yourself would ever know of your epic deeds. Such is the life of Space Team or more accurately Cal Carver and things only get worse as the new reality is pretty much as bad as the old one just different. It turns out whole worlds are being wiped out, terror is rampant throughout the cosmos and old old enemies and new and improved nemesis are running amuck.Of course Space Team knows no fear well more to the point Kevin keeps all bad news to himself until it's too late to do anything or for comedic effect, hard to tell with this advanced AI who is a law unto himself.Sting of the Mustard Mines was a fun read, I don't think Barry has managed to inflict as much angst and violence upon Cal as he does in this story and neither Splurt nor Toby can really save the day. The new narrative/world that Space Team lives within has opened up the series which should being new and always amusing adventures for our "heroes" and I for one am looking forward to see the consequences of Space Team's good deeds :)

I have loved this instalment. The plot, the dialogues (so great), the rhythm, the adventures, the new character... Great comic delivery but also some truly harrowing moments, BJH can WRITE.If you are new to Space Team, start at the beginning to enjoy all references. I actually envy you as you'll have several days of great reading ahead of you. I just miss those guys after I finish every book.
