Perfect size, bright light, large magnification window
I've always wanted one of these to use with my embroidery and cross-stitch. I had glasses, but they're too cumbersome. This item is priced well, went together perfectly, and I have nothing bad to say about it.Regarding other reviews that say this is too heavy/tips over: The weighted base is........weighted. Yes, it has heft, but it's what you bought it for.Regarding the tipping over: The base is an oval with the tube coming out of one side. Aim the other end of the oval toward where you're bending the light/magnifier, and no tipping. Hope this helps.

I have tried different magnifying floor lamps for my crafting hobbies including cross stitches, diamond painting, paint by numbers and others. This product provide a much brighter light. The 5x magnifying len is in good size and very clear. The base is heavy enough to support most of the angles of the light. The assembly is not difficult. But it is much easier to assemble with two person. I am very happy with the product and hope it will hold the value for a while.

This light tips over if it is bent down to the reading level while sitting on a couch.
Paperwork in the packaging revealed that if the LED light goes bad, it is not replaceable. I hope it doesn't go bad. Wish I knew that before I bought it.

losing vision
Macular degeneration is robbing me of the ability to read. This lamp, with its brightness and magnification, allow me to continue to enjoy the written word. A great product!

Didn't last!
I have used this 2-3 times and unfortunately the return window has closed. The plug in on the base of the lamp broke off inside the receptacle. Ordered a new one plug in adapter but the inside workings are also broken. I am out of luck . . .Lamp's light was great but it was very tippy.

Excellent work light
This is an excellent work light and magnifier for me to cross stitch by. It's a very nice design, especially with a magnifier cover. Here in AZ, the cover for the magnifier is an important feature to prevent accidental fires. I had one previously that did not have this feature. The light from the window hit my magnifier and almost caught a chair on fire. Thankfully, my dog had alerted me to the problem before it was serious.

Good light and magnification, poor quality otherwise.
UPDATE — the lights stopped working on this about six months ago, so this product lasted for one and a half years. I do not recommend.Within two months, the thing started falling apart. It is cheaply manufactured. It may be okay if you set it up and never touch it, but if you want to use it in a situation where you are moving and adjusting as you craft, it may frustrate you. The neck is more adjustable than it seems. It only bends in a couple of designated spots, making it less customizable than it appears when adjusting the position. A gap has now formed at the seams and I can see right inside of it. It's as if the heat expanded the plastic, and it is separating. The dust cover broke off as I flipped it open one day. The weighted bottom is not heavy enough, and it's always falling over. The magnification, the light, and the look are good points.

oh ha ha ha ha.. secure construction my patooty! See my pic
nope nope nope.. you cannot attach the stem of the lamp to the base. You can balance it there but don't you dare try to move this lamp by picking it up by the stem. The inner stem, what they are calling "the collar", is barely 2 inches tall, so the whole weight of this lamp is balanced on this little 2 inch stub inside the stem that you cannot attach it to because the screw holes they tell you to use DO NOT EXIST. this is yet another case of you get what you pay for. Also, and this is practically an aside considering what I just said, this should have been double boxed, and it wasn't it came in that cheap crumbly cardboard with thin Styrofoam around it. It's a wonder it works at all and wasn't damaged.
