Great item I never have to turn my iron up or down again always on hot never burns

Got this as my iron had some black sticky patches on it, tried a sole plate cleaner,didn't work....but this is AMAZING, fits the iron well,very easy to pop on the soleplate....have ironed even delicate fabric at normal temperature....EXCELLENT, just glides over everything....ironings now a pleasure again....HIGHLY RECOMMEND...

This is really good! I have a steam generator iron that would constantly stick to my shirts etc. when ironing. I repeatedly cleaned the soleplate, but each time I did any ironing, it was always the same. It was driving me nuts and ruining my shirts! On closer inspection, it looked like the non-stick ceramic coating on my iron's soleplate was so thin it had worn away in places. I didn't know these things existed, but I thought I'd give it a whirl. It fits well, it is slightly larger than the original soleplate, but fits tightly and doesn't move during use. It's quite thick so it doesn't have a button groove like you'd normally find. No sticking and no scorching! Glides along very nicely and I'm really pleased with it. It was expensive for what it is I guess, however it's saved me the cost of a new steam generatoor iron and makes ironing so much easier and smoother, it's money well spent. The only thing I'd say is that the heat/steam from your iron will escape in a different pattern, so watch your fingers. You may also find that if this is slightly larger than your original soleplate (as in my case) it may not rest on the heel of the iron and be unstable, so just be careful how you leave your iron at rest. I did consider some cheaper variants of these but the reviews were very mixed. This particular item had consistent positive reviews, which is why I went for this one.
