Very nice sweater I just got it today but I was expecting it to be more white and less pale yellow cream colored, I hope the washing it makes it a bit whiter. I assume like the color might be to mimic wool but the texture of cotton wouldn’t fool anyone. That said the pattern and weave is beautiful and it appears to be very well made. 1 star off because the listing makes it appear much brighter or I happened to get one darker. :)Edit: I’m raising it from 4 stars to 5 because washing and drying it made it tighter fitting and the color is a little better. Also the weave looks even tighter and nicer after being washed and dried so my only complaint is off white is a rather misleading term and I now love it regardless of the color not being off white but rather a pale yellow cream. :)

Okay I was a little skeptical about buying clothes from Amazon Essentials. I mean a clothing brand by an internet company, but boy was I surprised. Buying clothes on-line can always be a hit or miss endeavor with sizing, color, and many other variables, but this was not the case with this sweater.To give a size reference I am about 185 lbs. and 5 11 with an athletic build, fairly muscular arms, 41-inch chest and average shoulders. The fit was perfect throughout the arms not to tight but looks fitted. The shoulders and neck were once again the same nice fit and not too tight. Also, since I have a smaller neck, the fit was perfect there. Not to big but enough to where a white underneath and have a little show. Overall, in the body it provides a nice, fitted look, but not too tight. The length is a a little past the belt and a little looser at the very bottom compared to the upper body part.In terms of material, it is cotton, but fairly heavy. I have worn it with a t-shirt underneath and a collared shirt and both look great. I think it is appropriate for fall or winter as a stand-alone piece if the temperature is not that cold or as a great layering piece if the weather turns cold. I have worn over an undershirt, dress shirt and a jacket and I was warm. Now it is cotton not wool or cashmere, but it is heavy enough that it provides good warmth. The color is a true black.Now let's talk about price. I think I paid around $23.10 for this sweater on sale. The same sweater from one of the other name brand stores would run well over a hundred bucks. Overall, the quality and durability of this sweater is on par with the name brands. This was absolute a steal for that price. This was one of the first Amazon Essentials clothing purchases that made me a believer in this brand. I have made several other purchases with this brand and have been very satisfied. There have a couple items that I just didn't, but the return process was easy, fast, and reliable. I am sold on Amazon Essentials as an affordable great casual clothing option. Since then, I have bought many more items which I will review later.

Good length and great quality. Bought for holiday photos. Holds up well in the wash and is wrinkle resistant. My husband is big and tall and the length worked well for him. Usually standard length tops are too short for him. This is slightly too short but still flattering.

It's a very nice sweater. Seems well made and it doesn't smell like chemicals. I got the green to try & match a cable sweater I got for someone else but was hoping for a deeper green. I got it on sale so might keep it. It is a little heavy so definitely for cooler weather. I got a men's medium because I like them a little looser. I may swap it for a small as it is plenty roomy enough and the sleeves way to long. I am 5'5.5" 125lbs.
