Simple. Functional. Does the job. Just what I was looking for!

I borrowed one of these from a friend when making a birthday cake and immediately hopped on to purchase my own. It's super easy to adjust the height so you can use in on a cake of any height. Also perfect for cuttlng the cake in half, or just for leveling off the top. SO easy to use. My friend freezes her cake before she uses this and has great success, but I found it was easier for me when the cake had been sitting for 10 mins or so after coming out of the oven so it was still warm. For the money this is TOTALLY worth it! Definitely highly recommend it!

I haven't used yet to see how good it slices cakes.

Always had trouble keeping my knife level as I was leveling my cakes so they would often be lopsided, this has solved that for me. Takes a second to figure out which method of use works best for you… for me, it's grabbing the sides, not the top handle, and pulling it back towards myself.

Was fine while it lasted. Easy to adjust and use, but tugged at cakes more than a knife would. My biggest tip would be to use it starting in the middle of the cakes and do a gentle sawing motion toward the edges. Was going to use it on some cakes today but unfortunately I found it broken in my cupboard (it was unobstructed so it’s unclear how it broke). Probably won’t purchase again for this reason.

Worked how it was supposed to work. Simple and easy to use. Have used it a couple times without any issues.

Ich habe diesen Tortenschneider zurückgeschickt, da er kurz gesagt nicht funktioniert. Problem 1: Die Rillen (seitlich beim Draht) um die gewünscht Höhe einzustellen fangen erst bei 3cm ein. Will man eine Torte mit 26cm Durchmesser 2x durchschneiden kann man NICHT zuerst den oberen Teil abschneiden und dann auf tiefere Rillen umstellen um den unteren zu schneiden. Mit diesem Produkt schneidet man zuerst den oberen Teil ab und muss dann die ganze Torte umdrehen um wieder oben einen Teil abzuneiden. Das heißt auch: Will man einen Tortenboden dünner als 3cm schneiden ist das mit diesem Gerät nicht möglich (zB. Dobostorte). Problem 2: Der Draht ist einfach nur glatt und schneidet daher nicht. Meine drei probierten Torten (Mohn-, Biskuit- und Sachertorte) haben sich nicht damit schneiden lassen. Ich musste die Torten am Rand zuerst mit dem Messer ein bisschen einschneiden, dann konnte ich den Draht "einfädeln" und schneiden. Als der Tortenboden fast durchgeschnitten war, sind jedes Mal Stücke abgebrochen (obwohl ich meine andere Hand am Tortenrand hatte um genau das zu verhindern).

Just normal wire without the small sharp all the way or the wire .. it wont cut the cake at all
