Eastern Bikes BMX Wheel Rear Throttle

My son blew out the hub on the cheapy OEM wheel that came in his 2018 Eastern Nagas. I started looking at what it would take to rebuild it and it seemed like I’d be money ahead to just spend the money in a new wheel. I was never happy with the OEM hub/wheel anyway (you can see my review of this bike for more in that if you’re interested).This is a much better set up in every way. The hub is much sturdier and substantive. The driver aligns way better with the front sprocket. The spaced spikes should theoretically handle a bigger kid better with less stress on the rim.It arrived quickly and was well trued. I didn’t need to fart around with it at all. Combined with a new chain and it feels like a brand new bike. I may even swap out the front wheel just because I’m so impressed with the back.Compared to the Stolen Rampage wheels, which I was also considering, at roughly the same price point, this is a no brained. Buy it and ride on.

I haven't ridden on it yet but it looks really nice. The hub isn't loud but smooth and consistent. The rim looks much sturdier than my thinner Cinema 777 that bent. The Eastern has a strip of aluminum dead center that connects both walls where the 777 is hollow. I like the strip in the Eastern, is seems to be heavy duty compared to the Cinema. I'll review again after some riding.

Really like the way these look on my son's bike. Now for the true test will they survive. Updates to follow :)
