I wanted to extend my Wi-Fi strength to the bedrooms upstairs. It works great as a Wi-Fi connection but lacks when it comes to extending my signal strength. My Wi-Fi router downstairs offers 5 bars of strength but when trying to extend that upstairs I only received one extra bar. If just using this as offering more Wi-Fi you get 3-4 bars but when turning it in an extender/repeater it bumps down to 2-3 bars. I don't think it is strong enough to be used as a repeater.

Mixed feelings about this one. It does everything it says on the box, with one exception, and I've used it in WISP, AP and router modes. If the default settings are what you want it is very easy to setup.Pros- good signal strength- the signal indicator is surprisingly useful for finding the best location for WISP mode- good valueCons- have not been able to get WISP roming (sic) mode to work- the UI gives you very little control or insight into what it is doing (unless there is some secret advanced menu)- the few things that appear changeable often aren't (e.g. assigning WiFi channels doesn't seem to do anything)- my primary router can redirect clients from 2.4GHz to 5GHz if they are capable. This device does not work with that feature enabled.This appears to be identical to the Verratek DB1200 (at about half the price).If the default settings match what you want this is a good deal. If you like to tinker or fine tune, or need to troubleshoot, this is not the router you are looking for.

I ran a couple tests before and after installing. The extender has the lowest download speed in both of these photos.I have a concrete wall between my PS5/PC and my router, so I figured I’d give it a shot to strengthen my 5Ghz signal from 94% to 100%. It definitely increased the signal strength to 100%, but the WiFi speed drastically declined.So this was not a huge issue for my computer, but definitely not a fix for gaming. My ping decreased a bit when I was in games…. but loading times increased which made matchmaking take longer. Download speed for games was awful too.I figured I’d give it a shot for the price and I’m sure someone made good use of it, but I think I’m just going to spend up a bit on a new router instead of using the one Xfinity gives you (it’s awful). Unfortunately I live in a complex that eliminates the possibility of moving my modem so I can just run on an Ethernet cable.

I have a room that was converted from a garage. The floor plan is pretty open and the main router is in the room directly connected to converted room however the signal drops and wouldn't stay connected so that is why I purchased this. I am using it for an extender and it was working ok but the signal would be strong for a while and then drop and have a hard time reconnecting. I moved it to many different locations but in the end the only thing that worked was an additional purchase.AC1200 Wi-Fi USB Adapter was purchased and added to the MAC that was having issues, now it connects without any problems but the windows 10 machine in the same room, right next to the MAC won't connect. Also, it seems this extender doesn't work well with 5G as the only signal I can get and stay connected to is 2.4G.

Nothing to dislike it does what it is suppose to do . I have been enjoying my tv ever since it was delivered. My brother lives upstairs and I live downstairs and I am able to get a good wifi signal now, before I plugged it in I couldn't enjoy my shows at all.

I have a Netgear AC1750 Nighthawk router which I get petty good signal to my smart TV and phone, but I had low reception when I sit on my deck which is about 40 feet away from the router. I get very good signal from my internet provider. In the house I usually get full signal on my phone internet connection (Dot and three semi circle bars). When I go outside and sit on the deck I lose one bar on the 2.4G and 2 on the 5G connection. I thought this product would help but nothing changed, the only place I got full dot and 3 bars was right next to my router, when I moved the extender around the house I lost one bar almost everywhere. Setup was very easy just push two buttons wait 2 minutes and your in business.Needless to say It was returned to Amazon.

This is very helpful to have in our home. More than half of us work from home, so this helps makes everything run smoother. It does what i expected and it a small compact unit, that is barely noticeable on the wall. It works better if kept in a clear unobstructed space. I did struggle a bit getting it set up for the first time and connecting. But after that, i haven't had any more issues.

it does well for my pc's but i was hoping it woule work on my camera system as well since it had the wair set up for it . but i guess that is a nother game ??
