Celebakes Powdered Food Coloring 8-Color Kit

Just getting into baking I am learning all food coloring isn't the same. Those little bottles of color at the store just don't work with your icing and candy making. It changes things. You have to use so much of those little bottles to get the color you really need or want. After asking around to some of by 'cake buddies' online I found out I needed to try powdered food coloring. Who would have thought? Never had I heard of such a thing! Well now I can tell you not only have I heard of it. I have used it! What a great thing!! You don't need to use much to get the color you are truly looking for. The color on the bottle is just the color you get! I have used this in my cakes and in white candy! When using in white candy melts it is amazing! It blends perfectly! doesn't separate and make it look gritty like liquid or paste (yea paste I was surprised about this too!) It didn't take much color. Didn't change the texture of the candy and was exactly the color the bottle said it would be. ! CK products has a customer for life from me.! I will never use any other brand of powdered food coloring again! I love how you can buy a kit and get several different colors for when you are just starting out. Then as you need to replace colors or add to colors you already have you can buy singles! Perfect for this hobby baker!

The colors are about a shade lighter than what appears on the box and so you need a big amount to get darker colors but can't quite get to the darker shade. That's why I knocked off a star but I assume any powder you buy would do the same. It worked awesome with the chocolate, it did not break apart. Would buy again.

I first found out about powdered food coloring from 2 pastry chefs & they said it's safe & better for you than liquid or gel paste. So, I found This awesome powdered food coloring kit & I gotta say: I love this so much! I used it to add some color to my cake pops, my cakes & pastries that I have made. You don't have to use much & it doesn't water down your chocolates, frosting & sure doesn't water down your cake either. I love that this powdered food coloring doesn't leave a weird taste in my baked goods compare to the liquid or gel paste food coloring. My order arrived at my door fast & I am so happy for the very prompt delivery & awesome product. I highly recommend this to all my bakers & Pastry chefs out there❤️

I used it for the fondant, it’s a pretty good set, just a bit pricey!

Doesn’t blend well, makes my chocolate seize even though it says it’s good for chocolate coloring. Tried combining 2 colors to get a different tone and that did not work. If you need a pastel tone and don’t need any colors besides the ones in the box it’s ok although it will still leave a few specks of unblended color.

These are good but definitely not for chocolate. The chocolate gets a little grainy and you need a lot of it to actually see good color

Actually bought this for a science fair invention project. It worked just as expected and provided nice, even coating in pleasant colors.

These worked perfectly with giving my hot chocolate bombs some beautiful colors. The powder mixed easily with the melted cocoa butter and was easy to apply to the mold.

Product actually tastes bitter. Ruined a batch of macarons.
