Yeah baby!!
I am so glad i researched and found this stand! It is beyond incredible! My projector is 16lbs and it would not have been safe to sit on a flimsy stand. This one will hold the mother load! It is the most heavy duty stand i could ever want. If you need sturdy and stable you will not go wrong with this one! I am thrilled beyond measure!!!!!

Huge Efficiency & Health Booster
A significant process improvement for me. I use my laptop constantly, for work (including professional writing, correspondence, social media management, photo and video editing), personal social media, and currently for improving my cooking skills - approx. 10 hours a day Mon-Fri and 6 hrs Sat-Sun. I found this product while looking for an alternative to either sitting at my desk all the time or using the laptop on surfaces that are too low when standing (e.g. kitchen counters). I looked at other mobile laptop carts (some with wheels or larger surfaces), but none of them were quite tall enough for me. This one has plenty of height since it can also be used as a projector stand. For my purposes, it's even better than a motorized adjustable-height desk, because it can move from room to room, and of course it's far less expensive. I was immediately impressed with the heavy-duty legs and tray - this stand isn't a flimsy music stand that would easily tip over. I adjusted the feet to be just wide enough to fit through doorways, then adjusted the height to suit me (I'm 5'8").Since putting this stand into use, I rarely sit to do my computer work (basically only when I need to lay out papers next to the computer), but when I do, the transition from the stand to the desk is easy. I've found that I am more alert and complete tasks more quickly while standing. I can rock from foot to foot, or step back for a moment to think while reviewing what's on the screen, and all of those little movements throughout the day keep my back from locking up. On a typical day, my laptop now moves with me from bedroom (e.g. for notes on the latest back rehab exercises I've been assigned), to my home office for the day's work, to the kitchen (for looking up what to do with an unfamiliar vegetable). Even though I have back injuries, I'm finding that standing (with appropriate shoes) vs sitting is easier on my back. I'm writing this review while standing, periodically doing some light stretches as I step back to proofread what I've written. It's no exaggeration to say this product has made an enormous difference in my efficiency, focus, and health.

Extremely heavy duty, good option for the road, but falls apart when hauling.
I have owned this product for over three years and used it only a handful of times. It is extremely rugged, heavy-duty, and meant for the the environment in which I keep it, which is the back of a truck.I do not often use the stand, however, as it is often missing an integral nut or bolt when I pull it out of the back of my truck. I must conduct periodic preventative maintenance on the stand to ensure that it is ready when I need it. If any of the arm nuts or bolts are lost, the stand falls apart. If the tightening nut is lost, the stand cannot be raised. However, these items can easily be replaced from cheap parts at a hardware. I highly recommend to purchase lock-nuts for ALL replacements. A few tweaks could make the stand last a very long time. Usually, I just grab a matching nut and bolt and hit the road.I do not have this stand thrown haphazardly in the back of the truck. It has always been situated in a place to minimize jostling and shifting of loads. The bed is OCD organized, so it is a bit disappointing to be forced to perform maintenance on the stand. However, it is just a couple of nuts and bolts. Most stands would be crushed or bent quickly in a similar environment.Yes, the construction instructions are poor, but there is only one way to put it together.

Good quality and stable, but poor packaging
Looks to be a sturdy stand. Was poorly packaged however and there are scratches on the stand.

Well built, needs modifications to the tray
The stand appears to be well built and solid. Mine arrived with all parts intact and no bent pieces, but the back of the laptop holder was scratched up, but not noticeable in normal use. I'm taking a start off because I think the tray is not ideal for many newer laptops. My laptop (A Lenovo Yoga) fits, but with little space on either side yet 4" inches front to back. A better tray would be an inch wider. More importantly there is only one cutout for cables and it's on the left side and not positioned for me to use my USB 3.0 port, and there is no accommodating slot on the right to connect the power cord on the right side. A few modifications in my shop and I know have cable access slots on either sire of the tray. If they were to do make the tray 1" wider, expand the slot on the left and add a slot on the right to accommodate most laptops, it would be a 5 star product.

I Stand for this Stand!
This is the third stand I have purchased, not for laptops, but for projectors. The first was for myself, the second for a friend and this last, for our CCD building. The wide base stance provides great stability. The ability to elevate and lower the stand is wonderful and the fact that the platform can be tilted is also amazing. Without taking the stand apart, the storage of this stand takes up a little more room that I would like, but it's not a reason to not buy this. I like the fact that there's a break in the edging of the platform to allow the cables and cords to hang down freely without being kinked in a weird position while resting on the platform. the only downside to using this stand for projectors is that the legs aren't individually telescopic. With some outside-the-box thinking though, you can manipulate the tilt-ability of the platform to adjust for any off angles you may need. I will continue to recommend this stand for projector use to all.
