Lovely smell

These two L'Oreal Men Expert Clear Winner products will start your day with a zing as both the face wash and moisturiser have a cooling mentholated effect on the skin. In fact you really need to be careful with your eyes when using the face wash because it stings if you don't keep them tight shut. It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean but isn't too harsh or drying, it takes away any excess oil and leaves the skin refreshed. The face wash is black as it emerges from the tube but foams up to a lighter shade, it can leave black marks on towels or clothing (which just wash out) so beware.The face moisturiser isn't so zingy but does have a pleasant cooling effect as it dries on the skin. It's got a gel-like consistency and doesn't leave you looking too shiny, providing you don't over apply. On spotty skin I think it's more of a prevention than cure but that's still good. They make a good pair of men's skincare and the price is fair, especially if they're on offer. Good gift for a teenager or anyone with problem skin.

Bought it for my son's Christmas

I don't usually use skincare other than general face cream and this turned out to be really good.The set comes wth a charcoal face wash (100ml) and a moisturiser (50 ml)I wasn't aware how dry my face was and after using this for a few days, it looks and feels more hydrated and dark spots under my eyes are less visible.I don't usually get spots but I have noticed blackheads on my nose and after using the fash wash daily, the visibilty gradually went down and down to the point now where they're gone.I never realised I needed to use this treatment on my face but after this I am going to be more aware of this. L'oreal is a reputable brand and for a good reason. The price is affordable and for such a reliable product, the price is worth the value.

Nice set but smaller than I expected

I always get very oily skin on my face no matter how frequently I wash it, and this means occasional outbreaks of red spots as well especially around my nose and forehead - so I was keen to try out this product as it promises to clear up spots and reduce oil build up.I tested this set for a week before reviewing.Pros:- Seems to work - after 1 week my face looks cleaner than it did before - fewer spots- Face wash really feels like it is working - skin feels very clean once rinsed off- Moisturiser does not have a strong scent and is not sticky once appliedCons:- Be careful to avoid the eyes - easier said than done when showering!I used the face wash while showering and could immediately feel the difference, it seems to exfoliate the skin as well. It feels like it has menthol in it so you feel revitalised which is something I personally enjoy.When applying the moisturiser only use a little bit - rub it into your chin, nose area, forehead and neck areas that you regularly shave. Once dry it is not sticky or noticeable to others.My skin is a bit sensitive, however this product did not irritate it at all. After a week my face looks visibly cleaner with fewer spots, so it worked for me!
