Phytosterols Immediate Release, 450mg, 400 Tabs

Excellent product...

I love these Phytosterols, they are very effective and my only complaint is that the pill is jumbo sized. Easy to break down however, so I guess the size is a non-issue.

The real object of this product is to place the Phytosterols into the first 1/3 of the small intestine so that cholesterol in the food you eat right after does not get absorbed, then later the Phytosterols drop off as waste. Since the cholesterol does not get absorbed your level would not rise from food which is usually 25% of your level. This, it should be lowered by 25%. You calculate how much you need based on what you are eating. For example, you would take one pill for a regular egg. (I prefer Eggbeaters or eggs whites instead of an egg anyway.). I do not follow the daily pill use but take them just before eating calculating how many I need, for me no more than two at a time.The reason why you want THIS product, as there are other with even more per pill, is that it QUICKLY dissolves. The solid pill just melts away FAST. I don't even feel it go down as a solid pill in fact! Therefore you can just take them before you eat, not plan and take them way before you eat. I will certainly keep buying this product. In fact I have two fill bottles of another brand which I will not use because I fell so strong about this product.It also, as a side note good for prostate health.

I have had high cholesterol and triglycerides forever. I have tried all kinds of food, modification and other supplements, and nothing has worked, I’m going to give 100% credit to this product. My total cholesterol went from 252 to 174. My LDL went from 168 to 103. My triglycerides went from 211 to 151. This is the only time in this senior citizens life that I am close to the standard range. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. it is definitely worth the high price.

As a medical professional, I've used this product for over a decade. It helps, not as much as a statin drug, but if you can't take them due to side effects, these are a nice option. Taken 15-30 minutes before a meal, they help block the absorption of cholesterol from foods in your meal. Really do work.

The tablet has a very dry, almost abrasive surface that makes it stick in my throat. I will not buy it again.

Except for the shipping, the prices are the same. I buy their phytosterols and also their multiple vitamins. I will continue to use the products as long as they are sold and I am alive!

I ordered this and was disappointed to see on the label, that does not show on Amazon page, CONTAINS PHYTOSTEROLS FROM SOYBEANS.I am allergic to soybeans so can't use these. Thank goodness my husband will use them so we didn't waste money. Hopefully they will work for him.
