I purchased two of the 5/8"OD.-1/2"NOM. x 3/8"OD COMP valve.At first I thought the handle was chrome plated plastic. Had that look and sorta even felt like plastic. So I took the handle off. It is definitely metal. Has the heft of metal. It didn't seem like brass but hard to tell since it is chrome plated. May be some kind of pot metal, but metal none-the-less.Installed as replacement valve for toilet water line. Finally replaced that scary corrugated steel flex line. Always feels like that thing is going to crack when I have to mess with the toilet. Sure enough it finally did this time while replacing the flush valve. Glad I was prepared with this valve and some new braided stainless steel tank supply line (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IK1QBVS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1).Valve worked without leaking using the old press fit ferrule and nut on the copper pipe. Wasn't sure if this was a good idea not using the supplied ferrule and nut. Gave it a try and it worked fine with no leaks yet. I like the 1/4 turn handle way better than that cheap clear plastic multi-turn handle valve.Very happy with this purchase.

I wanted valves with a metal ball that would be easy to install. These fit the bill and at a reasonable price. Already bought a second set of 5, which gives you an idea of how much I like them.Some sellers said you had to remove the brass ring from the existing copper pipe. This is likely a good idea conceptually but then it makes the installation process tricky, since if you damage the copper pipe you could have some issues on the install. These valves were fine with the existing brass ring, no leakage anywhere.What is "sheerness" that is a feature you can rate? And how does "thickness" relate to a valve?

Needed to replace existing multiturn shutoff valves. The existing valves could not completely stop water flow when closed. The quarter turn were similar size and configuration, a few minor issues with installing them, however once installed are very easy to use and stop water flow when closed.

I use swagelok fittings all the time and never had issues with leaks. These compression fittings really need to be cranked down on to seal. I cleaned and prepped the pipe that was not the issue.

Very nice looking and sturdy feel to them. At that price it’s unbeatable. I would of spent twice as more at the store if I bought them separately. Overall very happy

These are a little better than what you find in the big box hardware stores. The metal handles are nicer than plastic.

Great looking valve with a real solid feel. Used it to replace some Brasscraft valves I had troubles sealing. These Monster & Master's sealed easily without resorting to big wrenches. Their appearance was just what we wanted for our bathroom.When I am in the market for vales again I am going to start with Monster & Master.
