Amazon Brand - Pinzon 6 Piece Blended Egyptian Cotton Bath Towel Set, White, 56" L x 30" W

I just purchased this set the end of 09/2016. During unpacking, I was very pleased with the initial looks of all the pieces along with the packaging. This would make a very nice wedding or any occasion gift. I washed them with a few other of my towels. There was quite a bit of "cotton" in the dryer vent filter. It was pristine lint, I could have used for cotton balls. LOL. But I threw away. I bought the white towels by the way too. After the wash/dry, the towels, hand towels and wash clothes were still flat to fold (the corners didn't draw up or the edging either), soft, and fluffy. They seem to me to be the middle of all on weight, thickness, softness, fluffiness. This is how I love my towels, but others want different things. I will be ordering more. I just want to use them a week or two to be sure they hold up like I think they will. For the cost and the number of pieces and the quality of them all makes them a very good deal. Even compared to the general shopping stores that I won't name, they are better to me than any you can buy at these places. Also, they are 100% egyptian cotton.

These towels are great, nice large size, fluffy and soft. I only ordered one pack due to the mixed reviews and I wanted to try them before ordering several. As soon as they arrived I opened the package and felt the material. I wasn't very optimistic, as I had the poor reviews in mind, they felt rough and yes as others said, like public pool towels. Thankfully, I continued with my trial, and put them through the wash- alone because new towels produce a ton of lint. Yes one towel ended up with one minor thread pull. As an aside, I've never had a new towel go through the wash and not have at least one thread pull. I'd be willing to bet that the reviewers whose towels shredded in the wash were either not this thread count, brand etc, or perhaps their washer was malfunctioning. I put them through the dryer three times, again alone due to lint factor, and cleaning the lint filter in between each dryer cycle and noted the first cycle it was nearly full, and each subsequent cycle produced less lint until the third produced barely any. They came out of the dryer soft, fluffy, sturdy and overall very pleasing. I used them to dry myself after my very next shower and again, they were very absorbant, which again makes me question if those reviewers who said they didn't absorb well were reviewing the wrong item in some way or maybe they didn't wash them first. There was also absolutely no transfer lint etc the towels were super soft and large wrapping my average height (7 months pregnant) body from chest to knees with plenty of room to spare. With these towels passing the test, I went ahead and ordered more, and gave them all the same treatment with the same results. The only thing I can't make a representation on is colorfastness because I ordered white, but I highly recommend them just the same.

I purchased these towels a month after getting married. Almost 3 years into the marriage and many, many washes, they have held up extremely well. I think any towel, hand towel, or washcloth is going to develop the string issue when you wash it. That is the nature of terry. However, we have used and abused these towels, washing them in hot water on every load and with bleach and they are still in one piece. The washcloths are beginning to fall apart, but I have had the same issue with every one I have ever used no matter what brand and how much I pay for them and no matter what store. My husband is 6'4 and the towels are perfect size for him. I am 5'5 and they are almost too large and heavy to wrap my hair in when I get out of the shower, but I say this in a good way. The material is very thick, well made, worth the investment and I am about to purchase several more sets to replace all my kids towels.

I bought 20 sets of these to use in 2 vacation rental homes on the Oregon coast, based on good reviews and the decent price. Pros -- its nice that they came in sets of 6: 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels & 2 washcloths per set. -- these have the Amazon brand on them, which usually means its a no-nonsense product of decent quality at a decent price. -- the price was good. -- they are bright white. -- the detail bands at each end of each towel are really nicely done. Cons -- it sucks that in can Only buy them in sets. I wanted to get a lot of extra washcloths that matched the set, but I could not find them on Amazon. I ended up buying a bundle of 24 washcloths that seem to be from the same manufacturer, but the look was not identical. -- enough fuzz came out of them from the first run in the dryer that I think something must be wrong. If it keeps up there will be no towel left. The reviews mentioned this problem, but almost no one said the towels eventually fell apart. -- the Amazon page said these were made in Turkey, but some of the towels say made in Indian and others say made in Pakistan. -- I saw 3 variations across the 20 sets I bought. 1) most of the towels are bright white, but about 6 sets had "almost bright white" towels. They are supposed to be identical, but when the bright white ones are next to the other "matching" towels, the other ones look a little dirty. This means the manufacturer(s) are not paying attention to product consistency. 2) We also had inconsistent sizing. A group of sets had handtowels that were about 1/2 inch different in size, for no particular reason that I could see. Again -- manufacturer doesn't pay attention to consistency.. 3) Tags tags tags. Some towels had shiney silky sown in tags. Some had paper tags. Some had just one tag. Other towels had 2 tags per towel. I had to cut off the paper tags because they would have made a mess in the washer, and I wanted to cut off the silky cloth tabs because they were way too big. So I spent more than an hour cutting of an estimated 70 tags. Ug. Based on what I know so far, I would buy them again. I'll update this if anything changes.

Absolutely amazing quality towels. I purchased 3 sets of these towels and I must admit that I am very happy with them. Although, we made a mistake when washing the first set. With the first set we had, we didn't pay attention to the tag and washed them incorrectly like we used to wash our old regular cotton towels, which were not egyptian cotton. That was a mistake, because after washing them wrong just once they started to fray a little bit. These towels are made of extremely luxurious cotton, the cotton you would find on an expensive Men's polo shirt such as bobby jones etc, so they must be washed delicately in order for them to keep their soft feel and to stay in good shape. I highly recommend these towels, but make sure that they are washed the same as your delicate clothing is washed, the cotton is very soft. PROS: - Extremely soft Egyptian cotton, soaks up water very well. - Very big towels CONS: - Since these towels are made of Egyptian cotton they are delicate and need to be washed as you would normally wash delicate expensive clothing. Cold/warm water, delicate/low setting and don't over dry. Country of Origin: Made in Pakistan

I bought these towels for a spa and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. These towels are larger than the standard size, very soft and absorbent. I don’t use fabric softener and honestly, they don’t need it because they are soft without it. I purchased the white ones. They washed beautifully the first time and no more lint than any other load of laundry. I can’t say anything about longevity as I just purchased them and only washed one time so far. But by the quality and after having washed them once, I think they will be around for the long haul. I don’t understand why anyone would rate them anything less than a 5 star.

I bought a white set over a year ago and am still using them. For the first wash, I washed them in 1/2 cup vinegar, followed by detergent wash and then dried them in low heat. I always keep my towels clean. Wash them at least once a week or whenever necessary. Prefer to dry in low heat after using, rather than air dry. They still look good as new. Its fluffy and big. I use three sizes for different purposes; large ones for after bath, smallest ones for only face & hand, and medium sized ones for my feet and legs only. I never bleach my towels. These towels look so luxurious and nice that my husband also wanted to give white towels a try. We recently ordered a new white set for my husband. I hope it turns out good as the first order. Never wash or dry with other colors, laundry separately. If you take care of it well, it will stay nice for a long time.

I bought 6 sets of these towels almost two years ago - in that time, they've been used, washed, dried, etc, who knows how many times. The towels are soft, plush, and absorbent. I remember some shedding on skin and in the dryer the first few times they were used, but now they never even drop a thread. I have one single grey bath sheet (out of six sets - so one in 12) with fraying, but no holes. I have one single grey washcloth with some color loss, but I'm 99% certain someone used it with bleach. My white sets are pristine and look like new. We originally picked these as our "guest" towels, but they've made it into the regular rotation because they're just so nice. I looked at them today while folding laundry and thought I should order more, so here we are! Quality may have changed in the past few years, but I've had a great experience and will be ordering another few sets of towels.

Really good towels, surprised at the quality compared to their price. Bigger size than normal bath towels which is rare. True they shed more in first couple of washes, nothing my dryer can’t handle, something expected of cotton with loops. I like only cotton towels which is difficult to find unless you pay a heavy price, doesn’t matter Egyptian or other, cotton is cotton. I don’t use fabric softener to maintain their absorbency, so a separate wash/dry for my white towels. Very happy found this brand after looking around on my regular places for a bit.

First set I got, I can't remember what was wrong with it, but I had to get a replacement. I think it was a bunch of loose threads. The replacement set is holding up nicely more than 2 years & several washes later. Which reminds me... Maybe it's time for a new set.

I don't know why there were any bad/avg reviews for this product in the first place. I think people writing them haven't washed these towels in the right way. I have now been using them for the past 2 weeks and these have gone for washing twice/thrice and not a thread came out! There was no lint. I washed them on a normal cycle separately with whites. Used tide and bleach. While drying used the softening sscented sheets on them and voila! They came out looking soft and fluffy. Very nice touch and absorbency. Worth every penny

There isn't anything that I dislike about these towels. They are very soft and absorbent. The size is great and they hold their size even after washing them. There hasn't been any lint off them and my only regret is that I didn't order two sets at the time. I have since ordered a second set and the price was slightly higher but still worth it.
