Well engineered, sturdy chairs, great value
Overall these are great, attractive chairs. Solid hardwood is used for every part of the chair. They are comfortable, though the carved grooves in the seat may be a little deep for some people (shorter, skinnier people perhaps). The connections are very well engineered and should hold a decent amount of weight and stay rigid and sturdy for a long time. The bolts that attach the legs to the seat are especially good - they go into threaded metal inserts in the apron. Assembling the chairs is simple and easy, though screwing together the spindles takes a bit of effort. The size is great for tucking into an eat-in counter height kitchen island. The wood used in the chair is well selected and color matched. If you're not familiar with birch, it looks similar to hard maple. The finish is somewhere between matte and satin and is slightly rough in some spots on the carved seat. I will probably do a light hand sanding and apply some furniture wax to the seat area just to make it feel nicer to the touch. As others have mentioned, the screws are cheap and relatively soft. The key to preventing the screws from breaking is making sure not to overtighten them. Use a screwdriver so that you can feel when you're applying too much pressure. If it starts to get tight, stop, even if the screw is not fully recessed into the spindle. The legs do not have pilot holes pre-drilled so putting them together with a screwdriver takes some effort. Out of 4 chairs (32 screws), I broke one screw head by being too aggressive and thinking the screw could go in a little further. If you do use a drill, do not use an impact/hammer drill as that will easily sheer off the head. Use a regular drill with the clutch set as low as you can to make sure you don't stress the screws. Though if using a drill, I would replace the screws with higher-quality steel screws.Even with the cheap screws, these are 5-star chairs. You can easily pay 4x as much plus shipping for chairs that are only a little higher quality than these.

Beautiful, solid wood
Likes: beautiful authentic wood not that cheap shit you see everywhere nowadays. They are super comfortable, our guests love them.Dislikes: some were wobbly at first but I found that if I loosened the bolts a little it sorted itself out. They are now all very sturdy (4) and we have had them for 2 years and loved them. The quality is akin to ikea, that is to say we probably won’t have them in 20 years but that’s okay with me. For the price of $40 each it’s a steal!

Looks great, sturdy, easy assembly
Extremely easy assembly. Perfect counter height stools. Looks great with my oak dining set. Color was not too yellow like other “natural” stools I have purchased/returned. More comfortable than anticipated, but do be aware of how you tend to sit on a stool; this one is only comfortable if you sit facing forward. Overall great value!!

Looks very nice and useful
Be prepared to improvise assembly. Very nice woods used in manufacture but hardware included is not all that good. Bolts to fasten seat to base legs is fine but beware the included wood screws are softer than the hardwood. I twisted the head off the second one as I was putting it together and had lots of problems getting the stringer out and removing what was left of the wood screw. Make you life easier and buy new good quality 1.5 inch wood or construction screws. I did manage to finish assembly but could not remove defective screw entirely. I was able to secure stringer through same hole leaving remainder of first screw in place. I also used paper strips to wrap stringers as needed to tighten fit into legs. Overall, I'm very pleased with the results. We'll see how they hold up with use. Silver screw in photo is what I used. Note condition of mangled screw included in hardware bundle - too soft for application.

Fabulous stools!
These are better quality than I expected. Easy to put together, though i recommend a drill for support pieces, its easier. If the screws struggle going in towards the end, pull them out and adjust the support to the left or right a little and they will slide in properly. They are very sturdy, the legs are solid and they look fabulous. One was wobbly when I tipped it over, so I just sat on it and it settled the legs evenly. So pleased, I bought a 3rd. Super win for me!

I bought 6 and they’re great!
When I bought these I was worried the huge curves in the seat would be uncomfortable or feel weird but they’ve been really comfortable for a hard seat.I thought they were a total breeze to put together and did it with a drill. It took about 10-15 minutes per stool and I bought 6 of them! All of the parts were included and nothing was damaged. The only complaint I have is that once I put them together several of them rocked if I tested them with my hands, but once I sat on them they were sturdy and did not move at all. My kids (ages 3-10) love them so far and don’t have trouble getting up and down. Definitely worth the money.Update: I’ve had these stools for over a year now. Since sitting on them, they have leveled out really well and no longer rock at all. I’ve only needed to tighten them once so far and none of my four kids have fallen off or had them slip out from under them. We still love them!

This is the stool you are looking for!!!
The media could not be loaded. Do not over tighten the screws. The heads will snap off! But it will still hold the stool together very well even with out the head lol. Put a little tight bond glue in all the holes too. But I bought several stools and return them all to different local hardware stores and then I bought this one and it was exactly what I wanted. I use this stool everyday multiple times a day. Also I have had this stool for 4 months now.*It is now November 30th 2022 and this stool is still awesome. Doesn't wobble still sturdy and the broken head screw or two are still holding strong. Always put a little wood glue in the holes of anything you're screwing together!!! Buy this stool!!!
