Like the fact all contained in a reasonably robust case. Bought as a beginner set and it looks like it has a great start to leather working. As gain experience might swop in better items but happy with the set

I’m new to all this but the kit appears to be comprehensive.Have tried a few of the tools out on some scraps and they work.Only 4 stars as I have not had send it in anger yet. I will update once I have put it through a through test

Great product for beginners. Mallet is a little basic but pattern, needles, thread and hand tools all perform.

So, upon pulling it out of the amazon box and trying to open it, one of the clasps fell off into my hand which I should have taken as a sign from the start.None of the tools work very well, the shears can't even cut through the thread, the needles aren't sharp, the prong punch tools don't work on thin leather, the stamp kit doesn't work and I haven't been able to get the rivets kit to work.I wouldn't recommend it, it's a real struggle to use and doesn't have everything you need, honestly save the money on this and get a better set that actually works

Bought as a gift for my son, so he can begin a new hobby - great value for the money.Although, the storage box for the studs/eyelets arrived broken (I have glued this to mend it), the plastic on it was a bit flimsy and bent on the lid as well.I'd also like to have seen little compartments for the tools, as without good organisation, it would be difficult to get the box closed again. From a safety standpoint, the sharper tools having affixed slots for storage would be a good idea too as not all of them have protective sleeves.The box feels a little small for all the things in it so as you expand a collection it's something to consider.I'd say there are higher quality tools out there, but as a beginner set this gives you everything you need for trying out a new hobby before investing in more expensive stuff or more fancy tools (like sewing machines, dye baths, burnishing machinery etc). The quality of the tools is good for the price, and includes a good range of needles, threads, piercing tools etc.I'd invest more in a nylon hammer and a more varied set of stamps to allow for more patterns etc, and if you want them vegetable dyes.Not a bad kit to start off with though - it covers a lot of bases and allows decent exploration before further investment into what is an expensive hobby/craft.

I originally ordered the 158 pc. Leather kit and it got lost in shipping... So I reordered a smaller kit, as the 158 pc. Was no longer available ., I havnt used all of the items, I am still learning, the case was cracked on arrival, however seems good otherwise. There could be instructions of how to use some of the tools ,as it is for beginners.Im sure I will get good use and watch "you tube" videos on how to use all the pieces in the kit.. Great amount of stuff for the price.

Compact, has everything you need and good quality.

A bone or hard plastic creaser would have been a useful addition. Ok for the occasional/ hobbyist.
