Worked Great
Used this to replace some inserts that hammered in from the back. Between the drill, the insert tool, and the inserts themselves they were really easy to install. This was used in my Airstream trailer to replace the inserts for the microwave.

It's the best product in its category.
I bought this product to be used on an outdoor enclosed bulletin board made out of Ipe. The way the threads are designed, knife pointed, they cut into the Ipe without having to tap it. It takes patience to insert them perpendicular. I found it easier to use a 4" bolt with a jam nut then using the tool it comes with. I'm sure it would be helpful when used with a softer wood. Buy this product, it's made out of much better material than others on the market.

Will not order again.
This was obviously a returned product. The drill bit still had the marking tape from whoever used it last and one of the inserts was completely destroyed. I've used these inserts before, and they work great but really bad quality control on Amazon's part. Next time I'll order through someone else.

Great all-in-one for installing threaded inserts in hardwood
Used this product on installing these stainless steel threaded inserts into a hardwood table to be used with a standing desk. A bit pricey, but the selection for an all-in-one kit like this are slim to none, even outside of Amazon - I searched thoroughly.Product worked well and the stainless steel threaded inserts didn't strip when installing and occasionally removing completely to realign and reinstall. Prefer these over the brass offerings elsewhere in metric sizing because they're harder and less prone to stripping.Pro tip - ensure you're applying enough downward pressure when driving these down with a drill otherwise you might strip the insert for the drive tool. If you find that you've installed the threaded insert crooked, just apply adequate downward pressure and remove the insert with a drill while slowly ramping up the speed. Don't immediately drive up the drill speed up with drilling in or removing. Make sure you have enough momentum and that the drive tool is stable before you turn up the speed.

Insertion tool is a failure
If you can get these inserts into hardwood, they hold tightly and work very well. However, the installation kit isn't worth the money because the tool that is provided will strip easily. The moment it does, it's useless. The installation tool works like a screwdriver bit, and must seat in a shallow notch in the insert. The insert is hard stainless, but the installation tool is not. The solution? insert an ordinary 10-32 bolt fully into the insert. Then, drive both the bolt and insert into the hardwood, then remove the bolt. To do this you must use a bolt that can be gripped tightly. A hex head is good, or a bolt that takes a square drive bit.

For M8, the included 33/64 bit shank is huge.
Perhaps I should have recognized this before buying, but the included 33/64 bit for the M8 size is far too big to fit any regular drill shank. You would need an industrial size drill press to use it. Now I have to buy a separate 33/64 bit with a reduced shank in order to use the inserts. Unfortunately past the return window. I would recommend buying only the inserts you need and buying a separate drill bit if needed. The inserts are obviously high quality, but the drill bit included was not thought through.

Poor quality control
Ordered M6-1.0, 5 of the 6 included inserts were that size, but the one I picked up first was 1/4” and I wasted a good half hour trying to figure out why it didn’t work when the second one did. Also, the insert tool can’t be used to remove an incorrect insert like the slotted version can, you have to use a screwdriver.
