Excellent!
We love our bug sconce, it works very well and looks like a regular lamp. Guests have no idea what it is when they come over, they think it's just a wall lamp. Best thing for flies and mosquitoes!

Happy Business owner!! No more flies!!!
It really works!! We have a small deli in our gas station and the flies were horrible. Its in the country and there are horses and cattle within blocks of our location. So you can imagine. We asked our health inspector what we could do. She recommended this. Yes it is pricey...But it's worth it!! If you have a lot of flies flying around it looks nasty.. Placement is the key. Can't be mounted to high. The UV light helps with bacteria too.Tip:Go ahead and buy the replacement strips. It only comes with one. Ours was so full we used 2 glue strips from a rodent pack I had never used. While I'm waiting on refills. Because if it gets too full its not as effective. Hope this helps.

It killed our flys.. it can kill yours too!
This light works great, I don’t like that they reccomend it be mounted below eyelevel, we mounted it high so people don’t see the sticky pad full of insect carcasses... i have to explain to people that it’s not a “bug zapper” it attracts flys and when they land inside, they get stuck and die a slow painful death of starvation. But it’s effective!

Stopped working after 1 year!
It says it has a 2 year warranty, cannot seem to find any information about how to redeem it! Ugh!

Works incredibly well
We had a bug problem in a very large public building, and purchased this to see if it could help our issue. It is working great, with no issues. It catches a LOT of flying insects every month. Well worth the money. I also purchased a wireless remote switch for it, which makes it nicer to change the sticky paper.

Works well, looks good - but ballasts burn out far too quickly...
We own two of these (in different colors), and on BOTH of them the ballasts burned out after 2 to 3 years. The ballasts are readily available, fortunately, so for a relatively modest cost they CAN be repaired - but what a royal pain in the you-know-what, and an unreasonably bad design. I am an electrical engineer (retired), so out of curiosity I disassembled both burned-out ballasts to see if I could find the problem. If you're into electronics at all, you would instantly recognize the smell of burnt electronics both emitted. After pulling the box off, on both ballasts I found an incompletely-potted electronics board (the incomplete potting isn't necessarily a problem) and an obviously burned power transistor (or possibly a power IC, packaged like a power transistor - the potting prevented identification). My experience suggests one of two things is happening: either the transistor (or power IC) simply overheated, or it was being operated out of specification. Both causes indicate poor design. Unfortunately the only replacement ballast I could find was the identical make and model, so I'm fully expecting more failures in future years - though it's possible the ballast manufacturer has improved their product. I certainly hope so!
