THIS is the BEST product ever
THIS is the BEST product ever! I have purchased this twice. I swear i could make my basement a pool and it would never leak. Amazing...worth every dollar and much cheaper here than any home improvement store near us! IT does take quite a while to apply...use a small brush and basically jab it onto the way, no rolling or big brush works, tried them both...took 1 week to do 500 sq foot basement and 4 tubs of this, but worth it worth it worth it! SEE pic of drastic B4 and after application...we we worked thru basement.

Don't waste your time or money!
This is the letter I sent to UGL the maker of Drylok:To whom it may concern:Less than 3 years ago, I “waterproofed” a rental property that I own.The block walls were pretty dry and they did have some minor efflorescence (a few blocks had some white stains). The walls had never been previously painted.I used your product in my own home about 10 years ago. At that time I did not “prep” the walls and some of the paint has flaked off. Knowing this I wanted to make sure that I followed the directions as close as possible because I did not want to have any problem or issues again.I watched a youtube video by your company, I read the brochure and instructions on the can and even went as far as to call you company on at least (3) different occasions to go over my situation. I was told that if there was any efflorescence that I needed to wire brush it and then etch the walls prior to application. I etched every wall not just the ones that had white stains. I was never told that I could possible run into a problem with efflorescence in the future. Now I have 2 walls that the drylock is peeling and flaking off. They are even in an area that did not have any prior efflorescence I contacted you customer service and the women immediately got defensive and told me that my problem was from efflorescence and there was nothing that could be done and I was out of luck. She asked me if I wanted to speak with someone else at your company. I said yes and she hung up on me. I called back and left a message and no one bothered to return my call.I now see that your website has been changed and that you basically are now saying that if there is existing efflorescence that you should not go forward. Funny how this was not on your website before and now it is.Why would I waste my time and money using your product if it will just flake off from efflorescence? What sense does it make that your product traps the water in the block and dries and then releases minerals that make the paint pop.I have wasted nearly $500 on you Oil based product and supplies. I spent about 20 hours of my time as well.I am seeking a full refund of the money I spent and would also like to be compensated for my time.Sincerely, xxxxWomen from the company called me back and gave me the same line of BS....said that there competitiors products are any not better,,,,,Then she hung up on me AGAIN!!!I called back and spoke to another person.....he said the get calls about this all the time.

I HAVE USED THIS PRODUCT SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST. IT IS A VERY GOOD PRODUCT AND EASY TO USE. SINCE MY USE OF DRYLOK I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THE SAME COMPANY MAKES A PRODUCT CALL "DRYLOK EXTREME". THIS TOO IS VERY EASY TO APPLY, BUT I THINK IT IS A FAR SUPERIOR PRODUCT. IT SEEMS TO BE MORE DURABLE.

Not for painted surfaces
I purchased this product from my local LOWE'S Store. I bought 2 five gallon buckets and all the corresponding painting supplies as well. I used them to paint (# coats) on an old block wall which had been previously painted. When it failed to seal I went back to the store only to find that the warranty is voided if it is used over any previously painted surface. IT SHOULD SAY THAT ON THE FRONT OF THE PRODUCT; not in the fine print on the back. This was a great disappointment and we are back to square 1 on how to seal this wall.

The paint was lumpy and didn’t dry ... I am not sure if the paint was old or expired
While the dry time says 3 hours, even after 24 hours, the paint came off and scratched easily. I am not sure I got my money’s worth!
