Perfect an Engineering Student
I gave this Rocketbook graph paper style as a gift to a young man starting Engineering School. He was thrilled that it was graph style because that’s what’s required for his courses. And he was happy he only needs this one notebook to carry around. I included extra pens which he appreciated.

Lifelong customer now!
I was so excited to get this and rightly so! I love my rocketbook matrix! It does what it says it does!As a math educator, it's really helpful to work out all types of math exercises and then scan it into the cloud so I'm not having paper all over the place (I keep all of my math work lol). As an entrepreneur, I can also then use it for any other note-taking, brainstorming or writing I have to do, and either erase that or scan it. I really am stoked for this, and will probably now be able to stop hoarding notebooks and looseleaf! I just got the Panda Planner and am considering a mini notebook as well.A few notes:1) It's a little tricky to use if you're left-handed though as the ink takes approx 15 sec to dry so will smudge until then2) using the pen station, or adhesive pen holder, is super helpful as you can only use certain types of pens with rocketbooks and you don't want to lose it;3) get a mini spray bottle that mists and has a cap or otherwise 'closes' so it's easier to wipe down (sometimes I spray the paper, and sometimes I spray the cloth if it's a small space that I need to erase) and won't accidentally spray in your bag;4) the rubber/silicone tip is an eraser, so it's good for small and quick adjustments where you don't want to use the cloth, just be careful as you kind of have to wipe/rub the residue away in order to write over the spot again;5) the frixion fineliner marker pens don't show up that well for me (may be the settings in the app), but it might be better to use the colored frixion gel ink pens instead of the marker pens if you use different colors in your work;6) definitely get a separate set of the frixion pens with refills with this purchase as the ink in the pen provided really does go fast;7) there isn't a bookmark or placeholder, so you might want to tie a thin piece of string or ribbon around the binding spirals to keep your place if that's important to you;8) you might want to get a small supply bag to keep the spray bottle and cloth (and perhaps the pen(s)) together; and9) I have found it helpful to use a clipboard to write on when not at my desk or table, as the rocketbook is durable but not super sturdy. I mean, you CAN use it without the clipboard w/o a problem, but if you prefer to write on a hard surface often, then a clipboard will help.Hope this is helpful!

It has really changed my workflow, improvement!!!
I use 3 of these sets. The main 16 page notebook is my work notebook. I take a lot of notes in my job and was burning through 10-12 200 page spiral books per year. At a cost of $10 give or take each, it was wasteful. Not to mention that I had all of these thick notebooks lying around like tech nerd data manifestos....I ended up changing my main note taking to using Rocketbook, And even bought the grid squared one for 3d printing and technical sketches for my hobbies. I also bought the pocket tablet with a nice leather case.I bought a 6 pack of little blue spray bottles for water and keep one on my desk for cleaning the pages once they've been scanned and uploaded. The bottles work perfectly. The Frixion pens work well. It takes a few minutes to acclimate to the smooth feel of writing in this system, but, I mean, that difference is VERY tolerable, just feels a little less grainy than pen on paper. But like I said, after a very small amount of time, it doesn't really register in your brain. This system works great for me. I just work my day, or sometimes week, them scan everything into the cloud using Google cloud storage. The integrity of their app's scanner is excellent and I can review notes very easily.I think it's a great tool for those who need such things. It would have been great to have in school and college. Highly recommend!!!

Great tool for lesson planning
I purchased this after seeing a TicTok video of a Rocketbook in use. I was sold without looking up anything else. Then I asked a co-teacher if she had ever heard of them and she said, "i have 3." When she showed me hers with classnotes in it I had to get one.I ordered the Matrix and received it quickly and immediately was enamoured with the quailty and ease of use. The first thing I did was use the grid sheets to lay out a map for a game. I erased the map, which is very easy with the included cloth and a bit of water, and then used it to design my semester exams for my IPC and physics classes. After scanning them and sending them to their respective google folders, I again erased the book and used it to write out my physics exam and answer key. Every time the pages looked as new as the day I opened it after cleaning.I did have one mishap with the Rocketbook but consider it a lesson learned. I left a small cup of water on my desk and bumped it, spilling the contents under my keyboard where i couldn't see it. the water ran to the edge of my rocketbook and wicked up the pages it touched ruining the work i had there but had not yet saved. I cleaned it up and redid my work, and I learned to 1) keep your rocketbook dry because the ink will run; and 2) save your work when you are finished. Rocketbooks are designed to be reused not to be permanent (unless you buy the single use rocketbook). In all, a fantastic product that I have had for less than a month and already used a ton, and I will buy a few more, for personal use, and to give out as incentives for my students.
