Made lifting the top off the jeep way easier!

It is perfect for lifting the heavy sections of our large, metal, artificial Christmas tree. Despite some reviews, the components are much better than I expected. The rope is easy on the hands and I did not sense much stretching. I recommend it.

I bought this to help move large bulky items into my attic. It does work fairly well for this. However, the rope included is only good for about 10 feet. The weight/pull reduction of the system works well, but the quality of the rope and length are questionable at best. The rope that came with my unit is not very solid, has bumps where the rope itself is flawed and definitely not long enough. I mounted a 2x6 across 2 attic rafters over the opening down into the garage. With the rope switched down to 3 pulleys it was still about 4 feet short of where I needed it to be. The rope also does not feel nor look to be all that safe or sturdy. While the pulley system is rated for 4000 pounds I would question if the rope itself would be safe at half of that. The straps though appear to be quite good for what they are designed for. It will work perfectly for what I intended it once I replace the rope with a longer and better quality item.

One of the best purchases I've made. Lifts up to a ton. Lifted a 120 lb. box easily with little effort. Compact, comes with a storage bag and has about 50 feet of rope, so you can lift a long distance. Straps are narrow enough to fit under any lift object, and more than strong enough One reason I bought it was it's compactness. small, easy to store- which mattered because I was working in a restricted place. Definitely worth the money.

It works. The rope feels cheap and flimsy. Worked to put some tension on a tree I was cutting down but my confidence in it not breaking was low. Good for light weight lifting.

I use this block and tackle with a ramp in order to get myself in and out of the garage since I was confined to a walker. Four wheeled walker. I showed a photo of that in another review and this review I show that I used it to move one of my cars that was on wheel dollies that are almost impossible to roll a vehicle especially when there is any grime on the floor and when all the wheels on the dollies all pointing in different directions. I was able to use this to move my car away from the wall using my max strength. I expected it to break, but it did not.

Worked well

Scam! Save yourself. Feels like a scam. Every picture shows metal pulleys. And it wouldn't be that bad but the plastic pulleys it comes with doesn't even have bearings. They just spin on a bolt. Here is the next worst part. The smooth part of the bolt isn't even long enough.. so two of the pulleys on each end are constantly spinning on the threads of the bolt. Manufactured failure point? This xstrap company has many pulley systems with metal pulleys. And even plastic pulleys with bearings. But to use the metal pulley pictures for this ad. And it comes with plastic that doesn't even have the bearings when they have plastic with bearings. They are trying to pass off their old stock as their new upgraded stuff. And it's a total scam.

Very helpful for pouring heavy material...

I would prefer a different feel to the rope or a natural fibre. It is difficult to grip. The use is to open and closed a large, heavy door pivoted/hinged at the bottom that is heavy wood on a 2" x 4" frame that doubles as a ramp for moving a load into the building (firewood by the wheelbarrow). The rope can twist but if a little extra effort in handling is used, twisting can be avoided. Regarding improved grip, only a larger diameter rope would correct this. However it might require the pulleys and spacing of the sheaves be increased. The use of a steel square in place of a proper becket on the lower block is also inconvenient. A proper becket to tie off the free end on the lower block would be more effective. The pullies in the lower block run free resulting in the free end being pulled out by the weight of the steel square which is inconvenient during set up and occasionally aggravating when in use. As I said, bottom line is, it does the job.

Thought it’d be better quality

I specifically ordered the more expensive one with the slings as it was the only one rated for 4000 lbs. When it came it says 2000 lbs on the box, just the less expensive ones. Kind of annoyed to say the least. Only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because it looks relatively sturdy for 2000 lbs and should still suffice for my application.
