Surprised by the form
Probably my mistake, but I never noticed that this is not the book, but a play based on the original. Considering book prices, it was a costly mistake, but my daughter read it anyway.

A very good, interesting book to read
A very good, interesting book to read. The plot is well written and keeps the reader on suspense throughout the story. Well worth adding to one's reading list.

Good script.
lots of characters and opportunities to create movement scenes and a good story as well. Excelent to explore with children 8-14.

This is the screenplay of the theatre production not the original book. Easy read and good fun but buyer beware!

The book that seeded my my love for reading
This was the first book that I read whilst at boarding school . Started out as thee book to learn to read but after starting to read it I found I couldn't put it down

Emil and the Detectives
BEWARE. This is NOT the novel. It is the text of the play currently at the National Theatre. Very misleading. Not what I wanted at all.
