Can the torch be left plugged in to be charged continuously.

There's no point, once it's charged, it lasts for ages.

Does it have a traditional plug to charge, rather than a usb to charge

No because the voltage required to charge the 2 litium batteries is much lower than that traditional plugs are meant to provide which is 220 volt alternative current. A usb provides as far as I know about 5.6 volt direct current and this is what the lithium batteries require to get charged Hopefully this helps you. Regards...

Where can i get a usb charging cable for this torch.

It came with one The torches I purchased both ceased working after 6 months would not charge Cheap and cheerful Do not invest time seeking one Rather purchase a better make

Has this torch got a broad beam? I noticed one of the reviews said that the beam was narrow and I need a broad one.

Depends what you mean by narrow, it’s like a car headlight, so similar to a car with only one headlight working. The torch beam is excellent on either power setting in my opinion, it illuminates a road or path for at least 50/100 metres and more, but the beam is focussed, so brightly illuminating an area around 5-10 metres wide immediately in front of you. Obviously the further away from you the beam stretches so the light tends to spread wider. It’s easily the most powerful torch I’ve ever had and i think it is excellent value. As a further point it also has an additional light panel that can be used for more general illumination e.g. in a tent or similar
