They work just fine!
The original Makita pad lasted about ten years before sanding disks started flying off. My parts place wanted $49 for a new one. If the two of them last half as long, I'm still ahead. I only use industrial sanding disks. They stick to anything, so I don't know how well these pads will work with the cheap disks in the big box stores.

BETTER than the original!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: So, I haven’t used my Makita random orbit sander in some time. Years? But I have liked it a lot. Recently, I took it out to use it and, to my surprise, it blasted sticky rubber all over my shop. A closer inspection revealed that the rubber on the disk had deteriorated badly. So I searched for a replacement for the disk. Thankfully, I found this one - or should I say two-pack? The disks came packaged well, and were super easy to install. I think these replacements are of higher quality than the OEM! If you need a replacement for your Makita (and I think they fit other brands, too, but I have no way of evaluating) push the button to buy! I think you will be impressed, too!

Perfect fit for my Craftsman sander!
(Husband here) So I have an older Craftsman random orbital sander. The pad blew apart the other day into many pieces. The sander is not made anymore and neither are the parts. The pad has 3 screws that holds it on (most have 4 now). I took a gamble and ordered this as a replacement. The description had the dimensions and it appeared that it would fit on mine. It also said universal replacement in the description, but didn’t mention Craftsman by name. Arrived next day, and then the moment of truth….it fit perfectly! Saved me my having to buy a new sander.

I started to see my sandpaper not hold well on my sanders, mostly after purchasing a 50 pc lot off Amazon. I suspect the fabric on the back is not as good as the more expensive options, and decided to order these to see if it would help. In comparison to my original discs I should have done this sooner. The savings of buying the 50 ps sandpaper paid for these new discs twice... Like I said I should have done this sooner... They are easy to install with just the three existing philips head screws. I will get a feel for longevity but can't comment on that at this time...

Fit my Makita sander perfectly

Excellent Velcro
After looking at a couple other backing pads, I settled on this one. It fits my 18V Makita Cordless Sander. It was quick to remove my old OEM backing pad which had lost all of its stickiness and enjoyed launching sanding discs accross the room. This new backing pad has bought my sander back to life, and is of a quality that matches the OEM one. VERY STICKY. Can't comment on the longevity of it yet as I've only had it for a few weeks, but if it can last a year of constant use then it will be on par with the OEM verison. Will update this review if it fails early.
