Concerns about durability before its even been used.
On initial impression I was very impressed with the dome. Seemed well constructed and the neoprene case is a nice touch. It came with a packet of little pads but no instructions of where they are to go. The back door is nice and secure and it holds the GoPro well.Having just used it in the bath to test it out I'm little worried about the construction of it. There was water ingress between the rubber seal and the dome right away as in the picture. This could be part of the design though. My greatest concern is the durability / scratch resistance of the dome itself.I gave it a wipe with a brand new lens cloth and the plastic scratched. Further wiping with other cloths results in the same - more fine scratches. These unfortunately already shown up on photos taken with the GoPro and can be seen when looking through from behind.I initially had high hopes for this but the extremely soft plastic is of no use. I haven't even been in a marine environment yet where sand and silt are present and already I have doubts.

Great
Easy scratched in sand but it's not expensive just look after it. You get a reflective glare shooting into light . But can be edited in photoshop. All in all great tool for the Job.

Superb clarity and sealing essential for those epic 50/50 water/land shots
The media could not be loaded. No doubt we've all seen the epic 50/50 water/land shots where half the image is underwater and the other half above the surface, well these domes are the only way to achieve these types of shots on our GoPros, being a Hero 8 owner and also off on holiday in October this is ideal. The Shoot Hero 8 dome comes in a handy pullover zip-up cover that I can only describe as like a mini wet suit to store the dome and stop the optically superb dome from getting marked and scratched (see video for clarity and 50/50 water shot) Both the dome and back cover come with a protective wrapper to ensure they arrive to you unmarked. The dual handles are set back which gives it a very solid grip when holding it forward of yourself. Water tightness is rock solid with the seal being very chunky, zero chance of water ingress here, it has buttons for both power and shutter with the shutter button being a very large lever-type so easy to use underwater even with diving gloves on.The fit for my Hero 8 was perfect with the door closed absolutely zero rattles of movement. I honestly can't say a bad word about it, I've included a water test at the end of my video to show the clarity which I think is as good as it gets.If you're looking for a premium dome for your Hero 8, which I think everybody should be considering you want the best optics you can get when you've spent a lot of money on the GoPro itself then I can highly recommend this dome.Summary:Solidly builtRock-solid sealsGreat shutter leverOptically superbNice cover to keep the dome mark-free when not in useI will be taking this on holiday with me to capture some of those awesome looking 50/50 shots and I think on viewing my video you too will agree with me that the image clarity with this dome is stunning.I hope my review has been of some help in your search for a Dome for your Hero 8

FANTASTIC
The media could not be loaded. This is a well built piece of kit that allows me to improve my camera footage so much more. I went and decided to go for this one purely because of the level style filming. This is where you can have the camera partially submerged in water and the other half looking out of it. I am not lying when I say this makes for such a fantastic image! It can be slightly annoying opening and closing it as it is very stiff but this is purely because of the water tight design that makes it so much more leak proof than any other one I have used before.
